I am just getting around to hooking this screen to my 3D printer build and it does not work, it doesnt recognize the printer and Ive spent hours troubleshooting. I cannot get any assistance from Bigtreetech and now Im told that I cant return the item. Will never buy again.

I like the colorful display and getting through the menu. I also like being able to switch between the Marlin screen and the touchscreen. Some things are just simpler from the basic Marlin menu, weird I know. There are printable covers in thingverse for this model, not many but the company has posted a couple so if you cannot design your own ones are available.

Does my 3d printer NEED a larger screen than my phone? No. But I am a man. And as such, I have big Man Hands. When I tryed to get all handsy with the little 2.4 it was a less then fullfilling experience. This 5 however, works great. I can easily manipulate all the buttons, and it works in both touch screen and Marlin mode, so thats nice. Would have gone woth the 7 model, but I felt intimidated.

I have purchased a LOT of bigtreetechs boards, lcds, and tmc drivers. I just received a tft35 v3.0 with a loose lcd screen. Everything works but the lcd is ready to fall off. I am done with BTT merchandise. This is the 3rd lcd I have purchased that was bad. I got three weeks of service from one unit before it quit. I have three skr boards in the junk pile that have some sort of problem with each. NOT HAPPY!! When I try to reach out to support I get no answers from anyone.

It doesn’t work with klipper unfortunately.

Love this unit. Preforms as stated. Easy to switch between Merlin and BigTreeTech.

Great upgrade for the price. Not only adds touchscreen but also ability to print from USB andstandard sd card. I really like the updated firmware and the bed leveling assist thats been added. UPDATE- about 2 weeks after installing, the screen would get really hot and turn off when printing from a USB drive. Contacted BTT support and they replaced it with no problem. Great service also

i love these. this one is now on a friends printer. he was not sure, but when he saw it was like ok. i need this.. these do require you to custom compile marlin 2 to use touch screen options as they talk serial to main board. aka rx/tx after you have that option turned on itll talk to your board perfectly disregard the bad comments. got three fully functional installs and love all three.
