> 3 dayThis is a lovely blue cast acrylic. So why did I give it only 4 stars? Its the description, not the item. I am seeing this with other sellers as well, and it upsets me. In my opinion, a 12 square should measure 12 on a side. At least they did not call it 1/4 thick like others do. This measures 11 3/4 x 11 3/4. So if you are doing a special project that requires, say, a 12 circle, this is not for you. And if you need a particular thickness, this measures on a micrometer between .185 and .190 (depending on where you measure, which is normal for acrylic). From the tolerance charts for acrylic that I have found on Google, this does qualify as being listed as 1/5. As long as you know what you are actually getting, this would be a beautiful product to work with.

> 3 dayI’m a beginner laser user but xTool has great products. This acrylic is easy to cut. I’ve been using these for my wedding projects.

> 3 dayI wasnt sold on the prospect of acrylic this thin being used ed with my diode laser, but the listing and instructions seemed to think otherwise... After ruining more than a few sheets with warping using both the recommended speed from the manufacturer, and trying faster cuts with more passes, Ive ended up with nothing more than piles of scraps. Incant really blame the material, as acrylic usually warps with increasing thermal loads; but again, its strange theyd advertise it for use in such a case. For other projects this seems a perfectly suitable acrylic, and the price is comperable to others here - Id just avoid lasers.

> 3 dayThis acrylic is much better than expected! :) Its a great thickness, great quality, arrived protected with no scratches, & is perfect for use in laser engravers & cricut type machines. Id definitely order again & recommend it to others crafters. :)

Greater than one weekI thought they were going to be a little more translucent but Im still happy with it. I got them to try & cut some things out with my laser. Ive been having a hard time trying to get the settings for materials correct in order to do cuts but these are a little softer and when I found the correct number of passes it cut cleanly & Im super happy with that. The only thing is they are NOT 12x12. They are right at 11 ¹¹/16 x 11 ¹¹/16.

> 3 dayI got these for a logo project Im making with the laser. The scattering on this is such that it is very difficult to cut with a 20 watt 455 nm diode laser. It engraves nicely and will cut smaller pieces, but for large pieces (I was doing about 6 x 6 inch parts), the kerf cools down and the material re-flows during a pass so you never get a through cut, no matter how many passes you attempt (I stopped at 11). Because of the scattering with this color, fine details are lost as well because the scattering heats and removes material beyond the normal laser kerf. Update: I will give credit to the company. I was contacted and offered a refund for this product. I really appreciate that kind of customer service.

> 3 dayAs long as you manually set the height using the Set Focus feature on the Glowforge software, it will cut fine using the medium clear or medium black acrylic settings. These were all nice and flat with no warping. I saw some people had issues with the edges being rough or not cleanly cut, but mine had nice enough edges. I took one star off as the measurements are not exactly 12 x 12 x 1/8 but I did not need mine to be precise for what I was using it for.

Greater than one weekSo, Ive used a few different XTool materials on my Xtool D1 Pro and this one is high quality just like the other ones that they make. The sheets are packed well, come paper covered to protect them from damage until you cut them and are great. However, many XTool customers probably have their blue light diode lasers and not one of their larger tube lasers. If you have the diode laser, you WILL NOT be able to cut this acrylic, at least not at 10W or lower. I HIGHLY doubt that the 20W can cut this either, but I dont have one to test with. XTool just announced a 40W that maybe could cut this, but again, I have my doubts and no way to test (though it would be great is XTool would do the test and let us all know - or if they want me to do the test just send me a 40W ;D ) The 10W diode WAS able to put a light engrave on the frosted since there is enough interaction to melt the plastic a little bit. I would assume the 20W and 40W would be able to engrave more deeply, but again, I couldnt test it as all I have is the 10W. If youve got a laser rated to cut CLEAR acrylic, you should be able to cut this frosted acrylic. But if your laser says no clear acrylic, this one, despite being frosted, probably isnt going to work either.
