> 3 dayThis is such a cool, simple invention. It heats up within 15 seconds and is ready to go. It puts out quite a bit of steam, so it wets the area quickly, at least as good as Swiffer wet, and you have a constant supply of the wet. I wish it came with a second pad, because it gets pretty dirty pretty quickly; there is no way I can do my whole house with one pad, maybe a few rooms. Its really simple to use, to set up, and to put away. I love it. Ive only had it a week, so I dont know how long it will last.

> 3 dayIt really starts steaming right away. The cord is really too short to do more than one room at a time and you cannot store the cord on the actual unit which I find funny.

> 3 dayWas on the search for a steam mop and found this puppy on clearance at Walmart so I figured I’d give it a lil try for $34. I was amazed at the performance! I found a dried up spot of what looked like spaghetti sauce behind my trash can (no telling how long it was there) and it took a few swipes over it but it pulled up. It’s perfect home my townhouse that only has wood flooring on the first level (approximately 700 sqft) besides my two bathrooms upstairs. My only complaint is that it has a cord and I’m so used to cordless things, but it’s whatev. It gets the job done and I’m super satisfied for the low price. Definitely beats dealing with a mop, because who likes that, am I right? I added a couple drops of floor cleaner bc I like the scent and it left my house smelling fresh to death. If you’re looking for a low cost steamer, this one is definitely worth it.

> 3 dayWorked for one hour. Next day would not work. No heat or pump action. Opened unit up and cannot find a fuse or breaker. It was made in China Thanks Black and Decker

> 3 dayThis is okay for the price. I bought more pads to use off amazon since one isnt enough. It does the job but its certainly not my favorite. I bought this because my last one (a shark) broke and I wanted a cheaper replacement. The cord is pretty short, I have to unplug it 3-4 times to reach everything. The steam seems to come from a bump in the middle bottom of this which makes it so the pad touches the floor only in certain places. If you are looking for a cheaper steam mop that does the job it works, however if you really want a lasting steam mop I would go with something else.

> 3 dayGot out the soldering iron, some wire and added that much needed button at the handle to control the steam, and screwed on a bottom hook so you can actually wrap the wire to stow. And its now a very useable steam mop! Not sure what they were thinking in B&D design. Guess they were saving a few bucks but this stuff was mission-critical. It took a morning but well worth the effort. All it needs now are some better/thicker pads, these are too thin but luckily I think I can pick up some Sharks. they just stick on via velcro. Yay!

Greater than one weekIm really surprised with this Black and Decker steam mop, and not in a good way. The mop is so stripped down. It functions, but its really lacking. -You get 1 mop pad. It is so thin and cheap it feels disposable. The mop pad sticks with a velcro-like strip onto the bottom of the mop head. Its not a very good pad at all and it just doesnt feel secure enough to really clean well. I actually had better luck using bonnet style steam mop pads that fit over the whole mop head. I had some left over from an old steam mop and they seemed to work better than what came with the Black and Decker mop. Also interesting is that the mop pad that this came with wasnt even the striped pads it shows on the box and in the listing images. I got a solid white pad that is super thin. -The mop is not free standing, it falls over if you dont prop it against something. -The water tank is built into the body of the steamer. If you dont have deep sinks, its a total hassle to fill. The instructions says not to leave water in it, so it is also annoying to empty if you have water left over in it when you are done mopping since you have to tip the whole mop. - The cord is short. REALLY way too short. Its frustrating to have to unplug this and find another outlet just to make it across the room. -The back of the steam mop has 1 hook to hang the cord. There is no bottom cord keeper to loop it around. Why so stripped down? -To make the 1 cord keeper hook situation even worse, the end of the plug has no prong on it to snap it onto the cord when you are done wrapping it to keep everything in place. Seriously, how are you supposed to keep the cord in order on this, short of tying it in a knot? ------------------------------------------------------ On the plus side, the machine is easy to use. -It has one switch to turn the steam mop on and another switch to turn the steam function on/off. -The handle is pretty comfortable to use and it puts out a decent amount of steam. -Its lightweight. -It can safely be used on hardwood and tile floors. Overall, it WORKS, but there are a lot of little things that make this feel like Black and Decker really skimped on the design and make it troublesome to use. If you are on a tight budget, this does work, but its almost better just to save for an upgrade since you will immediately have to make an additional purchase for more mop pads with this model anyway. Mediocre.
