Blues Brothers

Having grown up in the Chicagoland area, there are a lot of familiar sites in this movie for me. Ive been a Blues Brothers fan since they hit the scene back in the day, and I laugh out loud dozens of times every time I watch this movie. The scene where Jake and Elwood pilot the Blues Mobile through the crowd of Illinois Nazis - causing them to scatter like frightened cockroaches - is a scene I watch two or three times each viewing. Lots of celebrities in this movie, some in places where you least expect them; like Steven Spielbergs cameo appearance as the clerk at the Cook County Assessors Office at the end of the movie. Ive watched this movie dozens of times over the past 33 years, only to realize who that was just recently. Theres always something new Ive never seen before each time I watch this movie. Enjoy!

Incredibly stupid at times, but just such a fun movie, with great music. Cant but enjoy it. Ray Charles and Aretha Franklin are highlights.

One of the all time classics. Every time I watch this movie I wonder what Belushis career would have been like sans drugs.

まず、全体として思うのだが「こんな贅沢なキャストとアイディアに溢れた作品があっていいのか？」という驚きだ.所見は小学生時代だったのだが、成人になるにつれ、こんな凄い企画が実現できた事自体に驚いてしまう.～卓抜なテンポとスピード感の中にちりばめられたロック、ソウル、R&Bの芳醇さ.ジェームズ・ブラウン、アレサ・フランクリン、レイ・チャールズらの抜群のパフォーマンスは本作の最高の推進力となってぐんぐん映画を走らせる.これだけのキャストだと-下衆だが-ギャラ総額はどうなっているのだろうか....。そして、ジョン・ベルーシという唯一無二の鬼才はあれほど愛らしく、なぜにブルース・ロックを歌うとあんなにカッコいいんだろう？～映画のエンディング迄遊び心に溢れ、ジェイルハウスロックを出演者・スタッフがノリまくって歌う爽快感は最高だし、そのベルーシはもうハンパじゃなくカッコいい.最後に不幸な事故で亡くなったベルーシに深く追悼.～きっともう二度とこんな凄い映画が創られないのは寂しい限りだ.

What a great film! It has a decent plot, a lot of comedy but also some more serious moments. Lots of familiar faces and great music.
