This is a great movie. I was a little kid when I saw it the first time and Ive seen it many a time after but it always puts me in a good mood. The story of redemption by two low class but good intentioned criminals has classic moments with great cameos by rythym and blues greats. The musical numbers are awesome and the dvd is full of extras which the real blues brothers fan cant do without. Also, it has been digitally remastered for home theatre and thank you, because it just wouldnt be the same if it wasnt. The only reason Im not giving it five stars is the price is a little steep for a twenty one year old movie. All in all though, you get your moneys worth

after watching this you’ll suffer from random outburst of singing for approximately a week or two .

Always a classic!

I just had to quote the Queen, Areatha, from her incredible scene in the soul food restaurant. Just one of the many highlights of this movie. James Brown preaching like no other man of God, How much for you women,eh?, well we are the Good Old Boys,

What? Yes, so much of what is in this movie is now lost to time... The artists, the songs, the cars, the fuzz, the streets of Chicago and even Wauconda beach. Randolph doesnt have all that florescent signage anymore and Maxwell Street feels like the suburbs. Cest la vie. The little things also make this movie so enjoyable like the wheel turning on the highway in time with the music. For some reason that is just a feeling that is now gone … cant capture that in todays cars. Im glad that film has become a cult classic. Let it live forever. Oh yea, its also crazy funny. It is, dont argue. You cant win.

Great story, great acting, great music ... and comedy over the top!! Just perfect!!
