Let me just start over. This product isnt just terrible its flat out hazardous. This heat mat almost killed my leopard gecko. I had the thermostat set at 80. It wouldnt just stop at 80 and hold. It was bouncing all over the place. The readings between that and my temperature gun were always different and it was either a little too warm or a little too cool. Well today my gecko kept coming out of his cave which is unusual since they are most active at dusk/dawn so I decided that because I was using something new I better recheck the temps. While the thermostat was reading at 78, my temp gun was reading at 112 degrees!!!! This almost KILLED my gecko ! Ive packed it up and put it out to be picked up and returned. If you love your reptiles DO NOT buy this product. If I could have given 0 stars I would have. Now Im paranoid about purchasing another heat mat elsewhere. I even wrote to the seller and Ive heard nothing. Not acceptable.

I bought this product and its not getting warm enough, I have it set to the max temp of 108F and its reading at 92 on a heat gun so its not heating thru the glass and the quarter inch of substrate. Im very disappointed in this product, Im able to touch the pad with no issues. I would love to think I have a defective product but all in all, the product sucks. I think Im continuing to use it because im hoping the Lord generate some extra power into it but in reality ........... I know its hopeless

I decided at the last minute to buy a bigger terrarium after just adhering this to the smaller one. It came off easily and I haven’t had any problem with it. Good product so far!

I love this mat so much I purchased two, one for my hermit crab tank and one for my snakes tank. The mat works well for the price along with the temp reader. I love that you can hang it on the wall. My only CON is it doesn’t reach the temp I’m aiming for in my hermit crab tank, I often have to set it higher than what temp is needed for my hermit crabs. I have yet to figure out what I’m doing wrong. But I would definitely recommend though.

I don’t usually review items.. these heating pads have worked better than any other brand I’ve found so far. My snakes absolutely love them. Maintaining their habitat has never been easier. I have a BN link thermostat too and it’s comparable to Herpstat. Love this company so far

I read the directions and followed them step by step. My thermostat says it is where I set it at but it feels cool to the touch. My tank temp dropped 20 degrees! And the humidity went up 15. I have leopard geckos and this heat pad is not cutting it for them. I don’t know what I could have screwed up. It says it may take up to 6 hrs to get to desired heat but it has been on for 15 and it feels nearly the same to the touch. If anyone reads this and has a suggestion please let me know!

I bought this is a baby chick warmer. I laid it on top of a metal grate where they could get below it to keep warm. They love it and stay under their little house and stay warm. I will use it again next year. I did not see where I could control the heat. If its controllable, I didnt see it.

Unfortunately Ive tried this product in multiple positions and at different heat settings and it does not work. The thermostat is set to 80 but the actual pad and ambient temperature never get that high. Update: kind and considerate customer service. I received the option of a full refund or a new item. Seller was very interested in helping. Unfortunately I had already bought a replacement before contacting them so I just asked for a refund. Would recommend considering this product based on customer service. I may have received a poor product.

Product works good but if it werent for me coming on here to read other peoples reviews...I would have never known how to install it. I.e.... usually runs 5 to 8 degrees cooler than what you set... and where to install the probe. And where in the tank it should be. So far it works but I wish the manufacturer would show you how to use their product.
