I placed in on the outside on the glass and pushed his hide up to it so my tortoise always had a nice warm spot even when he wasnt directly under his light. My tortoise loves this heating pad, he always nestles right up against the side wall. Ive used this now for a little over 2 months and havent had any issues I have been completely satisfied.

> 3 dayWhen I purchased these a couple months ago they were just over $12 each. I got one for each of my vivariums. I don’t use the heat mat but do use the thermostat for my ceramic heat lamps. Game changer! I no longer have to check the tank temp every hour to make sure my geckos aren’t burning up. All three work perfectly, and are easy to program to what temp you’d like. Definite recommend.
