In this (admittedly non-typical) case the task is keeping the interior of an oven at 77–78° F. to control proofing conditions for bread dough. It takes a while to get the temp to the desired point, but it works as desired. The thermostat switches the heating pad on when the air temp inside the oven drops exactly 2° below the target temperature. Thats just right for my purposes. The controls are easy to use. A quick glance at the instructions and youll have it working in moments. Its accurate: While testing the heater I also kept a Thermoworks Spot thermometer inside the oven. As I write the review the Spot is displaying 78.3° and the BN-LINK thermostat is displaying 78.4°. One downside: Its good that the thermostats power cord is heavy-duty, but it arrived so tightly coiled that I had some trouble getting it to relax and straighten out. Its a minor annoyance, not a deal-killer. (4 stars for now as I dont know yet how long the equipment will hold up.)

Works as it should

When I purchased these a couple months ago they were just over $12 each. I got one for each of my vivariums. I don’t use the heat mat but do use the thermostat for my ceramic heat lamps. Game changer! I no longer have to check the tank temp every hour to make sure my geckos aren’t burning up. All three work perfectly, and are easy to program to what temp you’d like. Definite recommend.

Bought 2. 1 had an error message the other worked for 2 minutes, sparked And then nothing. I called the manufacturer. He said they have faulty fuses and he would send two more through Amazon and not to return them. I said ok. Two more showed up. They were broken and wouldnt work. I figured Id just chalk it up to a loss. Amazon charged me for not returning the broken 2 and said its too late now.

I love this mat so much I purchased two, one for my hermit crab tank and one for my snakes tank. The mat works well for the price along with the temp reader. I love that you can hang it on the wall. My only CON is it doesn’t reach the temp I’m aiming for in my hermit crab tank, I often have to set it higher than what temp is needed for my hermit crabs. I have yet to figure out what I’m doing wrong. But I would definitely recommend though.

Bought this for my daughters Russian tortoise and the tortoise likes it it sticks to the tank on the outside and temperature works great

The heating coils are wrapped wires instead of flat filament. It doesn’t spread the heat as effectively but seems to work ok.

This product has performed beyond my expectations.

Keeps my California king snake warm and happy

I have this on the bottom of a glass enclosure for my hamster. It is barely warm to the touch. I can faintly feel it from the other side of the glass. I got this to keep my hamster warmer in the winter. He doesnt notice it.
