Greater than one weekI attached the SSD 500GB to my Linksys Router as a network drive, replacing an unreliable 256GB thumbdrive, it came right up and is accessible to all my network P/Cs. Faster and no hangs on file transfers, the price is right and the very best part: Somebody has finally figured out a secure, positive connector for the miserable, crash causing USB-3 port! Hallelujah!

> 3 dayI needed something to backup my important files, and I found it in this device. Its a little more storage than I needed but I figured Id never run out. It does run slightly warm to the touch but after you unplug it this subsides quickly. Altogether, it works. Nothing more to say.

> 3 dayPlugged it in and I lost the Windows Start button from the task bar as soon as I clicked on the desktop computer icon. I had to restart the system and, when I did, i was thrown into a CHKDSK operation on my boot drive that has kept that computer busy now for about three hours. Im not a happy camper. After 5 hours of CHKDSK (on my boot drive!), it appears to be working. Frightening experience.

> 3 dayNever got to use it and Buffalo refunded cost. 4 stars because I think it would have worked fine, but is not useful to leave attached to iMac or PC to function as a permanent startup/boot drive. A single short sentence noted not to leave it connected such as a thumb drive. So I bought a smaller cheaper PNY SSD which allowed me to save my old mac with an old dying HD. Buffalo Customer service was great to work with but device was not right for my application. So dont dump your old mac because the HD do es, just add an external SSD and boot up from that. Still working.

> 3 dayBuffalo SSD is amazing and quite fast. Moreover, it is portable with 1TB capacity. I even used on my Samsung phone via USB C and was responding quite fast. It is worth buying and recommended for all.

Greater than one weekSort of a cross between an SSD and a flash drive. Once you have written about 10-20GB in a short time it goes from 300MB/s to 50MB/s write speed. Seems to be a small SSD buffer and a majority of cheaper flash storage since if you leave it plugged in and idle it goes back to the 300+MB/s write speed after a period of time. Read speed does not seem to be affected by this buffering. Its not really ideal for what I intended to use it for which was transferring large amounts of files between my devices and friends devices when they ask for a large collection of files but its very small and requires no cables so I found a use for it as a portable apps/games drive since its very snappy if not writing large amounts of data all at once.

> 3 dayWorks well and as expected on Win 10 and 11 Dell Computers, about same speed as fast flash drives. Is slightly bigger than full size flash drive. LED light is good Would be better if drive came in a storage box. Is a USB-A drive with a USB-C extender, which is what I want. It does not break up files larger than DVD size, which non-SSD flash drives do. This drive works with my converter box which records over-the-air TV to it. For this reason alone, I think this drive is outstanding, because I have found that many flash drives have problems with these type of devices but this one does not. It sometimes needs an extra minute to boot up with the converter box but this is no big deal. I would buy this drive again if needed., but wish it came with a storage case of some type. Note that I am actually reviewing the 2 TB model.

> 3 dayUsed on my PS5 to store PS4 games. Great to free up space on the internal M.2 SSD. You can play PS4 games right from this drive. Transfer speeds are very fast. Moved about 350 GB in 20 min. I was a little worried that the drive would get hot and slow down but it’s doing great!
