> 3 dayUsing it on a ps4pro and I get around 10 second load times on Bloodborne and probably around 40 seconds load on Elden ring. Originally got it to transfer clips from my console to computer but ended up using it as a secondary drive to load my most played games on because it loads faster than base ps4pro. Around 70% also so the less you have on there the faster it generally goes with ssds im assuming it’s the same. Use the back port for the fastest transfers from my trials. If anyones looking at this for console clips transfers, if you can use your phone for editing, I recommend getting a usb c to usb3a dual tipped drive. That works phenomenally for that purpose this is better as a offloader imo.

> 3 daySort of a cross between an SSD and a flash drive. Once you have written about 10-20GB in a short time it goes from 300MB/s to 50MB/s write speed. Seems to be a small SSD buffer and a majority of cheaper flash storage since if you leave it plugged in and idle it goes back to the 300+MB/s write speed after a period of time. Read speed does not seem to be affected by this buffering. Its not really ideal for what I intended to use it for which was transferring large amounts of files between my devices and friends devices when they ask for a large collection of files but its very small and requires no cables so I found a use for it as a portable apps/games drive since its very snappy if not writing large amounts of data all at once.

Greater than one weekThe ps5 cant read two different external hard drives either. So you cant copy games from one drive to another.

02-06-2025Unlike some flash drives that advertise large capacity storage and then under deliver, this product actually has the storage you pay for.

> 3 dayWhile it has USB flash drive form factor, its really an SSD. So, for an SSD, its quite slow in todays standards. As you can tell from my CrystalMarkDisk benchmark tests, sequential read/write is only 450/215 MB/s. Testing with the included USB-C adapter, it goes up to 600/370 MB/s. With that said, I dont think theres another SSD with a built-in, retractable USB-A interface that is this small AND performs this well for a sustained period of time. The Kingston DataTraveler Max does have higher speeds, but it throttles heavily after 5-20 seconds, down to less than 50 MB/s, so its not in the same league as this Buffalo. Like everyone has already mentioned, the build is very flimsy. Its all lightweight plastic and sounds very hollow when you tap it with your fingernail. Also, Buffalos use of stickers makes the drive feel like a cheap knock-off. They could have at least made sure the stickers were aligned properly (see photo). This thing just screams cheap, cheap, cheap. I just hope this drive doesnt die on me in a few months.

> 3 dayWish it was a little more durable case with a metal loop for key ring instead of plastic, but awesome fast transfers...1 GB in just a few seconds. I highly recommend this for anyone that wants to have a large number of files instantly available or even for backing up files.
