> 3 dayNice unit. Plugs into USB 3.0 no problem. I have three.. Works with Linux (Ubuntu) as EXT4. No need for power brick. Honors shutdown (power down) command. Doing that puts device in standby reducing power requirements and runs cooler. Nice white activity led. Not much larger then a USB flash drive.

> 3 dayGreat product to have just in case, or as a solid mobile external SSD for laptops. I use them for mobility and easy setup.

> 3 dayI really was excited to get these drives (i bought 2 because i was always satisfied with Buffalo Products in the past). These are advertised as USB 3.2 Gen 2. However, Ive tried (3) USB 3.2 Gen 2 hubs and all the results are the same, these drives randomly drop/disconnect and then reconnect on a Windows 10 laptop. ive also tried a direct connect to a USB 3.2 Gen 2 port on my laptop but no difference. the ODD thing for me is, if the drives are plugged into a USB 3.0 hub, the drop outs/disconnects do not happen. I tried to get an explanation from Buffalo on these and they couldnt answer or deduce if i had 2 defective items. Again, ive had Buffalo NAS products in the past and also had some of their internal drives and they worked WONDERFULLY! i like Buffalo Products, but this one i would be wary of buying, seeing other reviews experiencing the same problems i have. Im not returning them because i bought them for their size and form, im happy with that. Just really wanted Buffalo Support to explain why this isnt working with USB 3.2 Gen 2. i hope this spares you any confusion, works in USB 3.0 doesnt appear to work in USB 3.2 Gen 2.

> 3 dayVery lightweight, wish it felt sturdier. Slow (expected), but runs pretty cool, backup job took a couple days of continous use and it barely got warm. NTFS, compressed, and Bitlockerd. Satisfied so far. Have use Buffalo products through the years and always found them to be durable and reliable.

> 3 dayI do not think this unit is boasting on high speed... it does what it says it will do, and I expect a little more. I was incredibly surprised how well this unit works... True Plug and Play for Windows 10 (Have not tried any other OS to date). It comes with USB-C and works on my Android!

> 3 dayI attached the SSD 500GB to my Linksys Router as a network drive, replacing an unreliable 256GB thumbdrive, it came right up and is accessible to all my network P/Cs. Faster and no hangs on file transfers, the price is right and the very best part: Somebody has finally figured out a secure, positive connector for the miserable, crash causing USB-3 port! Hallelujah!

> 3 dayI hope I never drop this drive. I have a 1tb USB drive which I carry daily. I thought I would do the same with this ssd drive but it just doesnt feel like a very durable outer shell. Going to keep this one at my desk because it doesnt feel like it would survive too many drops. For the price I will keep it (you can never have enough storage these days) but will stick with my other USB drive for edc.

Greater than one weekI have purchases many high cost thumb-flash drives and this one ranks as best.
