The ps5 cant read two different external hard drives either. So you cant copy games from one drive to another.

Got this on sale for $65 or so.. Was getting insane transfer speeds from an internal nvme drive to this via a super speed USB port. Impressed so far.

I do not think this unit is boasting on high speed... it does what it says it will do, and I expect a little more. I was incredibly surprised how well this unit works... True Plug and Play for Windows 10 (Have not tried any other OS to date). It comes with USB-C and works on my Android!

Unlike some flash drives that advertise large capacity storage and then under deliver, this product actually has the storage you pay for.

I always like the Buffalos product, especially their quality. Could make this Looks better by using metal instead of plastic?

I really was excited to get these drives (i bought 2 because i was always satisfied with Buffalo Products in the past). These are advertised as USB 3.2 Gen 2. However, Ive tried (3) USB 3.2 Gen 2 hubs and all the results are the same, these drives randomly drop/disconnect and then reconnect on a Windows 10 laptop. ive also tried a direct connect to a USB 3.2 Gen 2 port on my laptop but no difference. the ODD thing for me is, if the drives are plugged into a USB 3.0 hub, the drop outs/disconnects do not happen. I tried to get an explanation from Buffalo on these and they couldnt answer or deduce if i had 2 defective items. Again, ive had Buffalo NAS products in the past and also had some of their internal drives and they worked WONDERFULLY! i like Buffalo Products, but this one i would be wary of buying, seeing other reviews experiencing the same problems i have. Im not returning them because i bought them for their size and form, im happy with that. Just really wanted Buffalo Support to explain why this isnt working with USB 3.2 Gen 2. i hope this spares you any confusion, works in USB 3.0 doesnt appear to work in USB 3.2 Gen 2.

Works well and as expected on Win 10 and 11 Dell Computers, about same speed as fast flash drives. Is slightly bigger than full size flash drive. LED light is good Would be better if drive came in a storage box. Is a USB-A drive with a USB-C extender, which is what I want. It does not break up files larger than DVD size, which non-SSD flash drives do. This drive works with my converter box which records over-the-air TV to it. For this reason alone, I think this drive is outstanding, because I have found that many flash drives have problems with these type of devices but this one does not. It sometimes needs an extra minute to boot up with the converter box but this is no big deal. I would buy this drive again if needed., but wish it came with a storage case of some type. Note that I am actually reviewing the 2 TB model.

Let me start by saying that for the price I paid, I was whole heartedly expecting this thing to be horrible, but I was wrong. I am so glad I gave this seemingly no name brand a try, as this is better than 98% of the USB drives available by known brand names. I cringed when I plugged it into my computer not knowing what to expect, and once recognized, drivers installed and it opened a new window I was delighted to find it has a full usable 1.81TB of storage space (in one contiguous block). I then proceeded to back up all of my data between 9 of my computers, and the slowest data write speed was 26MBPS, however it was on an old laptop computer that was dying, and I was barley able to boot it into safe mode to recover data; on my hp elite desk mini, I plugged it into a USB 3.0 port and started downloading data, about 500 GB of data and it only took about 3 min to transfer, it peaked at .99GBPS but averaged 600MBPS. BLOWN AWAY! HIGH QUALITY! GO BUFFALO! If your reading this review and still questioning if you should buy this because of the brand name, let me give you some good advice, coming from the IT guy for a company. BUY IT YOU GOOF! In my opinion this is the best value for USB storage on amazon.
