Bought this as a gift for my dad and he loves it

easily a new age contender of stationary soldering irons.

The item arrived but the free cutters were just tossed in the box and scratched the soldering wand holder.

Its a great soldering station, it has a small footprint, it works very well/ I had to buy right away a smaller tip for my application. 1.6MM its more like 2MM. Came with a great wire cutter for free.

Simply a great bang for the buck with digital quality. This will do whatever you need at the right temperature. Easy to use menu, accurate, full featured and gets to temp fast The only thing you need to do is buy some additional different style tips that will add to the versatility of the kind of jobs you can do.

Like this better than Weller

Having had this FX888d for a year and half, used maybe 20 times. Its completely dead. The fuse is good, all wiring resistance measured ok. The indicator lights do not come on and the unit just beeps once when plugged in. My walmart soldering irons all work, but this expensive unit is completely dead. So instead of using this as a tool to fix other electronics, I now have to take this apart and use other tools to fix it. Do not buy this, I cant say this product is of any quality or reliable.

Does not heat very good so I broke it.
