Bundle Includes Soldering Station and CHP170 Cutter

Working with vendor to fix it. There is quality in the build but the guide is horrible and not working as written.

Im a solderin novice, but, with that caveat, this has worked very well (heats fast, easy to use).

The soldering machine is very well built, sturdy and easy to use. It is amazing how fast it heats up to the set temperature. So far so good.

Mechanically - its an amazing soldering station but the 2-button electronic control is really idiotic. It is so idiotic I removed 2 stars because of it.

Gifted to my brother who is a computer tech, hes been using it like crazy for a couple years now and really likes it. Its been trouble free

Absolutely fantastic soldering station. Heats up in under 30 seconds and confirmed by thermo couple that the tip heat is right where it says it is. The amount of tips Hakko makes you wont ever need another station.

What else can i say, works much better than my old ancient weller. Easy to set up and start soldering.

Im a hobbyist, so take this for what it is worth. I settled on this model after reading other reviews, and after years of working with the standard Radio Shack 30W irons. I never knew how precise or controlled soldering could get. While the digital display is nice, and it is cool to see how quickly this heats or cools, now that I know the quality involved I would certainly choose the analog model if I was on a budget.

My only complaint is the temperature preset adjustments are not clearly documented in the manual, which seems to be in engrish. However, I would still recommend this as it has performed very well so far, and the digital temperature setting is very easy to use (again, it is only adjusting the preset settings I dislike).
