> 3 dayBought this because the same brand 3 that came with my lenovo docking station about 2 years ago was not working. My monitor connected to the docking station would flick out and back on. Did not have the problem with this one. Seems to work well. Also connecting wireless mouse and wired keyboard through the docking station.

18-04-2025I bought an open box Gigabyte M32U monitor off of Newegg and the open box product was missing the usb-c cable. I bought this as a replacement and it provides the full 4K 144hz that this monitor supports from my M1 Max Macbook Pro. Awesome cable that works great for what I needed.

> 3 dayI had been using a much shorter 18-inch , manufacturer-provided Thunderbolt3 cable to connect an iMac 27-inch to an external Thunder3 QuadX bay with 4 drives in it. Using the 2-meter cable from CalDigit, plugged in for the first time today, BlackMagic Speed Test shows the drives (spinning SATA drives) functioning at the same speeds as they did with the shorter cable. Im not super techie but this gives me some assurance the longer cable is not getting in the way of performance, and now I can move the enclosure to a more convenient location farther away from the iMac. Also I tested both ends of the cable in both the iMac and in the Thunder3 QuadX ports and it engages well, clicking into place. Some reviews of other cables talk about touchy connections with Thunderbolt3 cables. My only complaint about this cable (along with others on the market right now) is paying this much for a cable of this length. I will update the review if I encounter any problems with it in the future.

> 3 dayFirst one clearly did not work. The screen would flicker. Amazon replaced it immediate. The second has worked great on a 4K setup

> 3 dayI plug my Macbook into a Caldigit dock to power it on the sofa, and use it quite a bit that way; it tends to bend the cable too much perhaps, because every 3-4 months they will fail. But theyre great until then, and if youre not bending/flexing it continually l like me, it seems high quality. I get full TB3 at this length. My understanding is that this IS an active cable.
