> 3 dayCould not get speeds above 600MBps with this cable on my SanDisk Extreme Pro SSD. Was able to get 1.5GBps with a generic 20GBps cable vs this “Intel Certified” cable.

15-04-2025I bought an open box Gigabyte M32U monitor off of Newegg and the open box product was missing the usb-c cable. I bought this as a replacement and it provides the full 4K 144hz that this monitor supports from my M1 Max Macbook Pro. Awesome cable that works great for what I needed.

19-04-2025Tried a bunch of other thunderbolt cables. Best speed I’ve found and none reach as far as these.

> 3 dayDid my research as best as possible and went for this hoping for the best. Displays flickered every few seconds and in the end I resorted to the original Lenovo short cable. Great quality but clearly not suitable for some environments. This cable isnt alone in having issues with my simple configuration, so clearly a compatibility issue.

> 3 dayIt works. Not much to say. My monitor sometimes goes a little glitchy when I plug both this Thunderbolt cable and an HDMI cable into it and try to run 2 computers at once, I guess its getting confused about which port it should be listening to, but I think thats the monitors fault, not this cable.

> 3 dayThis is an active Thunderbolt 3 cable, that can transmit up to 40 Gbps in data and video. Pure data throughput is 32 Gbps according to TB3 standard. The cable connects a MBP 16 2016 and a Sonnet 650OC enclosure with a Vega FE card. The connection has been rock solid. The eGPU enclosure is behind the desk and hence GPU fan noise is muted. All monitors are connected directly to eGPU in my configuration.

> 3 dayFinally, a Thunderbolt 3 cable thats long enough to actually do something with! I frequently move my Macbook Pro on and off a BookArc stand which holds it horizontally with the lid closed, and then when I leave, I unhook the Thunderbolt cable and pop it directly into my bag. Other cables were always too short and/or tight to the dock, and now I finally have some room to breathe with the CalDigit cable! It works well!

> 3 dayI plug my Macbook into a Caldigit dock to power it on the sofa, and use it quite a bit that way; it tends to bend the cable too much perhaps, because every 3-4 months they will fail. But theyre great until then, and if youre not bending/flexing it continually l like me, it seems high quality. I get full TB3 at this length. My understanding is that this IS an active cable.
