> 3 dayI bought this air compressor 4 years ago. About 18 months the air compressor would fall on its face when letting air out the hose. I contacted support and they were very unhelpful. Simple things like asking me for purchase date and model number when I had included that in my original contact email. The warranty was for 12 months, so they wanted nothing to do with helping me out other than sending me a link to the parts page. Through some troubleshooting, I found the regulator to be faulty. I removed the regulator and the internal bits and found a lot of corrosion. I cleaned and lubricated the regulator pieces, but the output pressure was still stuck at ~20 PSI. Today, I had enough and took matters into my own hands. I removed the regulator and installed an brand regulator and mounted it on the compressor bracket. California Air Tools wanted $60 for the regulator, which is a ridiculous price for a part that failed so quickly. All is well now and I have the compressor back to working as intended. If California Air Tools reads this, I would suggest they use regulator internal parts that dont corrode so easily.

Greater than one weekI’ve owned this 4610 AC California Air Tools compressor for about eight months now. I only used it a handful of times and one of the metal threaded hose connections between the tank and regulator broke preventing the unit from building up air pressure. The threaded part of the adapter was broken inside the regulator and could not be removed. I tried for weeks to get a hold of someone at the company to either service it or send replacement parts but without any luck. I honestly don’t believe there is a customer service department. I would say that if you want a quiet Compressor, this won’t disappoint however if anything goes wrong, you are on your own.

Greater than one weekHuge difference in sound level between this one and two older compressors. I have mounted it in the bed of my truck and with the tonneau cover closed you hardly hear it. Reassessment: I really put this to the test topping off about 40 tires/day (over about and hour) for 3 days. Sorry to say it disappointed as the duty cycle was not sufficient to keep up. The compressor shut down near the end of the hour and would not restart until it cooled down. On the last day I had to get the noisy Porter Cable pancake unit out to do the job. I am going to try adding more storage capacity so it will have time to cool down between cycles.

> 3 dayThis is a big improvement over the usual oil-less compressors available locally. The aluminum tanks reduce weight and allow for easy transport. It has become more difficult over the years to find a gas station that has a working air pump. Most provide hot air in the form of various excuses.

> 3 daythis is my second C.A.T. Compressor. they are the brand that I prefer due to their dependability and performance to noise ratio. it is worth spending the extra money on a quality tool if you use it day in day out and rely on it to put food on the table. After working with one of these, the louder compressors will just become irritating to you with the noise level they run at. the California air tools can be ran inside your clients house with no complaints of noise, conversating next to the tool while its running is not an issue. recommended for carpenters and professionals as well as DIYers. 5 stars.

> 3 dayI love everything about it so far. So quiet! So easy to carry. I’m 5’2” little spunk ball and if I can carry so can someone else. Can’t wait to use on all my projects. Thank you ❤️

Greater than one weekBought this to blow out swarf while milling. Its very quiet and does not take up a lot of space. No leaks and air volume is sufficient for my uses. Definitely wont fit the needs of larger and noisier compressors, but use your head to select the proper size for what you want it to do.
