Greater than one weekThis item was purchased for my 11 year old son who is a budding artist. The paper is very high quality, thick enough to use with copic type markers (alcohol markers), pencils, gel pens, watercolor pencils and paint. Both of my artistic children prefer sketch books that are not spiral bound, but more of a tablet type of book, however this Canson sketch book has a fine perforation near the spiral binding so the sketches/paintings can be removed from the sketch book with a beautiful clean edge. I was so impressed by the quality of this book I brought it to share with a professional artist friend of mine, she was also impressed. This is a great purchase for ages 0 to 110, from budding artist to professional. The price is quite inexpensive for the quality and quantity of pages. I recommend this above all other sketch pads I have purchased in recent years.

> 3 dayIt pays to look at bar codes in the stores - this was actually about 1/3 the price and it is very good quality not just for the price - I wanted something good for my son and this was perfect.

Greater than one weekThe pages are thick and sturdy. I use it to practice painting. I use acrylic paint. I used to buy canvas, but this is affordable and really good for beginners.

> 3 dayCanson does not disappoint with its paper quality, and the price CANNOT be beat either! Even at discount big box stores this paper runs for $30 so being able to snag it for under $20 is amazing. The quality is smooth and very light texture. Great for light watercolor, but nothing intense. Inks are bright and pigmented and colored pencils pop and show almost airbrushed on this paper. I use a lot of heavy blending on my artwork with pencils, so a paper that can stand up to that is awesome in my book.

> 3 dayNot very good...warps and ripples quite a bit even if Im not using a lot of water, sometimes its so bad I might as well just be painting on cardstock. Im trying out painting on foamcore board right now, and so far that holds up really well, even to multiple layers. I can get a 20x29.75 sheet at the dollar store for a dollar, which is cheap enough as it is, but I also cut them down to smaller sizes and since I have no intentions of selling my paintings and I am just using these to practice and for scenes/backgrounds in a comic Im working on, I can use both sides of the foamcore board and get a lot of paintings per sheet. So Im just going to stick with that.

> 3 dayI used this to draw up rough draft sketches for my graphic design class and was concerned about running out of pages but I’ve finished the year long classes and still have a ton more left. It’s such nice thick paper and colors don’t run through and it’s easy to erase. One of my favorite sketch/writing notebooks.
