I bought this for watercolor practice, but the paper is too thin. I took a gamble on the page weight, seeing that it was a bit more than what I use for pencil sketches. (And I had tested that paper beforehand but it wilted immediately.) The XL pad holds up a bit better, but only handles light washes. Anything with a waterbrush, for example, will definitely buckle the pages. I still carry it around and attempt paintings when Im out and about, thanks to the convenient size. Hopefully I can develop a drier technique to make it useful.

I do not have a ton to say! This is my favorite brand for all my artistic needs and desires. As long as you know what your medium is going to be just choose the right paper. I mostly do lettering with markers or pencil sketches and this paper has never done me wrong!

Sturdy and definitely harder than normal computer paper. Perfect for sketches and light water color painting!

These sketchbooks are amazing you can do all sorts of mediums on them ranging from water color to pastels to charcoal to basically anything your heart desires these became my new favorite sketchbook years ago and these will be the only sketchbooks I ever purchase their sturdy, reliable and have a nice texture and their just so good highly reccomend.

The paper is sturdy and good for painting or drawing. I’m not an artist but for me it has been a very nice product to practice painting.

I hit this for mixed media purposes - it’s nice to do watercolors, ink and pencil in the same book. You can use glue too - I’m satisfied by the thickness of the paper.

I personally love the XL series, especially 90lb paper. This is one of the best ones out there for a good price. I love the slightly bigger version of this sketchbook.
