This backpack is the bees knees. When I started college, Id gotten a cheaper backpack that literally fell apart by the end of my first year, and had started ripping by the end of the first semester. I decided I couldnt go wrong with Carhartt, and hot damn was I right. This backpack is marvelous. I didnt realize how awful the weight distribution of my old one was until I got this. Its actually comfortable to wear (the padding on the back is wonderful) and it distributes the weight in such a way that it doesnt put too much strain on your shoulders (I have really bad shoulders so this was a big big plus). When I first got it, I thought it was gonna be kind of small, but this thing is like Hermiones purse in Deathly Hallows. You can put all of your books in it and still have more space. Ive used it as an overnight bag, too, but packing my things on top of my school supplies. I really like that the zippers are covered because, again, my old backpack that claimed to be water resistant left all of my belongings soaked when I got caught in a downpour. This one is TRULY water resistant, and moisture doesnt soak through it. I really like the material and I really like the pockets - the top one on the outside makes a great pencil case and the one below is the ideal size for odds and ends like lipstick, lotion, mints, etc. The water bottle pockets are the perfect size too, and wont let your water bottle go flying when you swing your backpack on (guess what did let that happen). I could clearly go on about this backpack forever. Ive had it one semester now, rain, snow, and shine, and it doesnt even show any sign of wear or tear. VERY high quality and a fantastic deal

Great bag. I use it for work to keep stuff in. Or use it like a small travel bag. I just wish I got the bigger one. But nothing wrong with this one at all. I should probably use a suit case. But wanted a back pack for versatility.

Put this puppy on and it made me invisible like John Cena. However if that “review” doesn’t solidify your backpack needs then just know the camo made me disappear like my father leaving to pick up some milk

If you are like me 5’3 petite sized girl this backpack is not for you. The built is more for bigger people probably more for men. Straps are really uncomfortable and digging into my back. Would not recommend unless you’re a large buff guy. I’m giving this backpack to my brother

Its a bit small for my preferences. My old backpack had four pockets instead of three and I kept so much stuff in it. I needed to cut down my inventory a bit to fit it all in here. In my old backpack I kept the following: a pencil case full of writing utensils, a set pan watercolors, a calculator, a toothbrush, a travel first aid kit, a bag of ibuprofen, a bus schedule, a survival guide booklet, two small plastic lizards, a phone, a wallet, a swiss army knife, a small rope, a magnifying glass, two spools of thread and a needle, feminine hygiene products, a large sketchbook, a novel, an ipad mini, a water bottle, an apple and or a granola bar, and all of my notebooks, textbooks, and binders for school. I had to cut down to everything that was absolutely necessary for me. I made it work. It feels and looks great. Ive had it for about a month now and its held up perfectly so far (as to be expected). The tablet and laptop pockets are nice as well. I dont have a laptop yet but it seems like it will work well. The side pockets are sturdy and big enough to hold my 1000ml water bottle snugly. Like I said, its a bit small for me but I like to keep a lot of crap in my backpack. For a normal human who doesnt carry two small plastic lizards and a set of watercolors with them constantly, it should work fine.
