> 3 dayWhat it is: 6 ft snag less Cat8 Shielded Ethernet flat cable with woven nylon sheathing rated at 40Gbps. Why I like it: As an IT Pro, I’m always looking to improve reliability and performance on my client’s networks as well as my own. This high quality cable tests very well—I don’t have gear faster than 10Gbps, the shielded plugs and boots are assembled nicely. These are a great addition to your network supplies if your install or cable routing does not require compound bends—a round cable would would work much better (only reason for 4 stars). Would highly recommend with this performance and at this price point.

Greater than one weekBoth the ends and cable appear to be very sturdy. I plugged directly into a router to an older laptop and it worked fine. I would recommend.

> 3 dayThis cable stands out from your average patch cable. The flat cloth covered cable is great for a situation where the devices will not be moving around. I plan to use it to connect components of my home theater and audio streamer gear where appearance and function are important. However I would not use this cable with my laptop as the cable and connector makes for a rather inflexible connection, extending well out from the connector on my laptop.

Greater than one weekYou can see from the image attached the thickness vs some competitor/amazon basic Cat6 cables. For the price of $10/15-feet, this seems like a real bargain and the quality is in fact quality sheathed and STP terminated (requires your switch to be properly grounded as well or else you gain zero benefits of using such a cable). Don’t ever bother with crimping your own cables anymore - with prices like this and quality like this, it is at a disadvantage to make your own Cat ethernet cables, period. Overall a strong recommend buy for this brand of cable!

Greater than one weekI got this cable to replace an unreliable old ethernet cable. This cable feels very sturdy and the end clips securely snap into ethernet ports. I ran a speed test with my old cable and this cable, and the results are nearly identical. Overall I think this has great value and I would recommend to anyone needing a durable ethernet cable.

> 3 dayYou can never have too many cat cables. One is always lost or damaged or in use so it never hurts to make sure you have extras. I prefer to hardwire devices when I can to the network instead of bogging down my home WiFi signal. This was great!

> 3 dayIt looks and feels nicely made. Its a flat cable versus being round which surprised me. It works, though, so maybe because its only 10 ft. Since its braided nylon, there are no markings on the cable itself. The plugs say CAT8 and I didnt find any other specs/markings. Im using it for a short uplink and it works. I cant test the actual performance but no problems so far. Lights indicate gigabit connections.

> 3 dayI honestly don’t know much about Ethernet cables, but this one seems great! was in need of a new Ethernet cable and started doing some research and found the Cat 8 was the best one I could get. I have a high speed of internet, but it seems like I’m never actually getting the speed I’m supposed to. I was thinking it was my internet provider, but after researching Ethernet cables I realized it could be the cable I was using. Ethernet 8 cables allow for the highest speeds. So, I wanted to give it a try. This is really well made. It is flat with a woven material along it. My favorite part about it is the little clip that you push in when inserting it. The main reason I needed a new Ethernet cable was because the little plastic clip on my old one had broke off. It was so flimsy that it wasn’t surprising it broke, which was why I started researching Ethernet cables to see if I could find one that wouldn’t be as flimsy. The one on this is wider and thicker and seems a lot more durable, so I’m hopeful it’ll hold up a lot longer than my last one. Plus, this one is Cat 8, which is much better than my last one! After connecting it, I noticed my speed was way better than I’d had before, so then I was even happier with this! Overall, I think it’s a great, well made Ethernet cable for a good price!

> 3 dayFirst, a very well made Cat 8 cable. Nicely woven jacket, premium connectors (See pic). I always wondered if I was limiting my speeds with my older ethernet cables, so I decided to give this cable a try. This Cat 8 cable was excellent. It maxed out my available internet speeds. See pic 3. I then tried a Cat 7 cable. Again, it maxed out my available internet speeds. See pic 4. I then tried a Cat 5e cable not a cat 5 (speeds up to 1000mbps with 5e) and again it maxed out my available internet speeds. See pic 5. So clearly, these cables were all up to the task for my limited needs, for now. But frankly, Cat 8 is made for much higher speeds and frequency than a home user will typically see at this time. BUT, the future may hold even greater speeds for the home user, so I would say to buy this if you want to future proof your cabling. After all, its around the same price as similarly made older standard cat cables, so why not buy this instead of the older tech !

> 3 dayI recently figured out how to run an ethernet cable from my router to a switch in my living room to stop fussing with my wifi settings. The first thing I needed to do was buy a long enough cable in a future-proof rating. That could be anywhere between CAT6 and CAT8. Since the cost difference was negligible, I went with the CAT8. While I was in the middle of this project, it occured to me that most of my ethernet wires were put into place many years ago and I had never thought to upgrade them, in spite of the fact that I had upgraded my router and FIOS service to gigabit level a couple of years ago. Sure enough, several of my existing cables were CAT4 or CAT5! Feeling pretty foolish, I immediately ordered replacement cables with the CAT8 spec and saw the throughput on those devices skyrocket. So now we come to the cables at hand, the YSONG Cat 8 Ethernet Cables. These are not only competitively priced, but are of what appears to me, top level quality. YSONG have taken the best ideas about cable building from the past few years and put all that into this product. The cable covering is a nice flat-woven material, while there is a sturdy rubberized lead into the RJ45 connector. All aspects speak to high quality and a well thought out design. These cables are offered in an impressive variety of lengths, so do yourself a favor and go check each cable youre running now.
