This cable stands out from your average patch cable. The flat cloth covered cable is great for a situation where the devices will not be moving around. I plan to use it to connect components of my home theater and audio streamer gear where appearance and function are important. However I would not use this cable with my laptop as the cable and connector makes for a rather inflexible connection, extending well out from the connector on my laptop.

Still, I do not feel moving to this higher spec cable is overkill. It’s clear that this cable is manufactures for high quality demands. The metal shielded RJ45 connectors and braded flat cable makes this cable not only beautiful but also rugged. I plan to use this patch cable between my 10 Gbps switch and NAS. While my current environment was capable of delivering the 10Gbps speeds, I still feel swapping to this cable will help future proof what will be coming down the road. I know this cable will perform today at least as good as what it is replacing and will give me added breathing room for the future as I continue to upgrade my networks.

I have absolutely no issues with this cat8 ethernet cable. The woven wrap around it is of high quality and protects the cable well from high traffic areas. There isnt a whole lot more to say about it, it works as it should, the price for the quality is fantastic, and if youre looking for 10 feet of cat8, you should look no further -- this is it.

Most of the Ethernet cables I use are out of sight, living behind desks or in the basement IT closet. Once they are plugged in, they rarely get touched again. But I was looking for a cable that could travel easily for my laptop to get improved connections for video calls when in hotels. While I havent yet had a chance to travel with this cable, the construction is exactly what I was looking for. The braided and flat design holds its shape and coils back up super easily. The connector boot is also well-integrated, protecting the plastic clip from getting broken off during travel.
