> 3 dayTo be fair, we didnt buy these for baby proofing purposes--we needed something to hold our cabinet doors closed in the event of an earthquake and didnt want anything that would require installation (meaning the use of tools). So, these locks do the job and theyre simple to operate. They just arent particularly attractive because theyre big and bulky.

> 3 dayThese cabinet locks will do the job. The package arrived opened. So I figured I might as well give it try. The locks felt a little cheap and were a little difficult to maneuver. We bought another similar, but slightly more expensive cabinet lock that we like much better.

> 3 dayMy cat loved to open the doors to my wardrobe, climb in, and sleep on my clothes. Sometimes, the clothes on top weren’t suitable for sleeping, so he would throw some of them out of the closet to find softer material suitable for a snooze. I love him dearly, but I was sick of having clean clothes already christened with cat hair, or neatly folded clothes thrown on the floor. Although I have no children, here I was, buying child safety locks. Thankfully, due to his lack of opposable thumbs, my cat can’t get into the wardrobe anymore! He still tries occasionally, and he’ll lay outside the doors and pout. The device is simple enough that I don’t mind unlocking/relocking as I get an outfit together or get ready for work. Thanks for solving my problem! In case anyone is worried, my cat happily naps other places, including the couch, the bed, the dining room chairs, his cat tower...

> 3 dayIf this is what youre looking for its great, does the job! I just didnt like that you can tell all cabinets have locks. After a few months I bought the inside 3M mount locks with the magnets. I like the clean look.

> 3 dayThese help keep my little kiddos out of areas they dont need to be. Exactly as described but would like an option for one just a tad bit longer like an inch longer would be cool.

Greater than one weekGot a pack of these for the couple of double cabinets in our kitchen. They obviously install super easily and simply, and at first they were great. Unfortunately, if you have a tenacious toddler who still tries to yank on the cabinets and try to bang them open, the pressure is too much and the end can be pulled off. Now one of them is kind of stripped and he can open it fairly quickly. :-/ Weve only had them a couple of months. The others still work fine, but they arent his favorite cabinets, so they havent been messed with as much. EDIT 3/2021: Ive had these on the cabinets nearly 9 months now and theyre still doing alright. The bit that caps the U-shaped part tends to crack in the middle over time, which still works but makes it difficult for me to open, so Ive moved the cracked ones to cabinets the toddler is less interested in. I wish Id saved my money on all the child locks and just gotten a gate to keep him out of the kitchen altogether, because I think thats about to happen. But these have worked well in the meantime.

> 3 daySuper easy to use. Keeps our toddler out of our kitchen and bathroom sinks - mission accomplished. When we need to actually get in those areas its a little inconvenient to take locks off but preferred over other locks that were harder to install, less reliable.

> 3 dayIt totally works, and yeah it doesnt bend like the safety 1st brand... But Im worried that instead of bending itll just break. Its really stiff plastic, but doesnt seem terribly strong. Theyve held up against the toddlers so far, though, and I really like this brand of baby proofing products. Check out their door knob covers!

Greater than one weekThese do work, and theyre not a hassle, but if youre buying them for pet proofing or very small children - the width of the cabinet doors will matter! 2 of ours are within an inch of each other and the doors wont open more than an inch. The other two are about 2 inches from each other and, with these on them, you can still reach your hand in and get things out. I would suggest something different if your handles are not close to one another.
