This is effective at keeping out my 3 and 4-year-old. They were able to get into some of the other basic locking mechanisms, but not able to open these yet. You can slide them in the wrong way. If so, it can be a pain to get them undone. That is the only reason they are not a 5.

So recently my cat decided that my bathroom cabinet under the sink was the greatest most interesting place to go explore. He even accidentally got himself stuck in there one day and I had no idea he was still in there. Thankfully I noticed after about 5 minutes and got him out but I was not about to let that happen at a time when I wasnt home. So for a great price and I have 3 more should I need to cat proof anything else this is great!

These do work, and theyre not a hassle, but if youre buying them for pet proofing or very small children - the width of the cabinet doors will matter! 2 of ours are within an inch of each other and the doors wont open more than an inch. The other two are about 2 inches from each other and, with these on them, you can still reach your hand in and get things out. I would suggest something different if your handles are not close to one another.

These fit all of the cabinets in my house. They are sturdy and very easy to install. My toddler could probably figure out the mechanism to open it, but theres no way his fingers would be strong enough. Ive watched him test it quite a few times already with no success. It does what its supposed to do!

I that I can take these locks on and off, generally, with one hand. Its important for me to be able to lock cabinets due to the fact I have a toddler who can destroy about anything, including my cabinets. As someone who rents, its important for me to be able to not have broken cabinets in my home. For what it costs, you should go ahead and get these locks and use them. Youll be satisfied with fewer messes and headaches. I cant think of a dislike at this moment because I just started using them but if I do, Ill go ahead and update the review. Best of luck! - Aaron

If this is what youre looking for its great, does the job! I just didnt like that you can tell all cabinets have locks. After a few months I bought the inside 3M mount locks with the magnets. I like the clean look.

Does the job you want it to. Not too hard to use that its annoying to go in and out.

These are super easy to install and the baby cannot get into my cabinets any longer. A little tough to open the first time but that’s to be expected with the new plastic.

Simple and easy to use is what all parents and grandparents want. This does the trick.

Works perfectly for my cabinets in the kitchen and bathroom! My daughter is 2 & she has figured out two different types of baby locks nd i have to say she has not figured this one out and gave up! Perfect for what I wanted it.
