> 3 dayMy cat loved to open the doors to my wardrobe, climb in, and sleep on my clothes. Sometimes, the clothes on top weren’t suitable for sleeping, so he would throw some of them out of the closet to find softer material suitable for a snooze. I love him dearly, but I was sick of having clean clothes already christened with cat hair, or neatly folded clothes thrown on the floor. Although I have no children, here I was, buying child safety locks. Thankfully, due to his lack of opposable thumbs, my cat can’t get into the wardrobe anymore! He still tries occasionally, and he’ll lay outside the doors and pout. The device is simple enough that I don’t mind unlocking/relocking as I get an outfit together or get ready for work. Thanks for solving my problem! In case anyone is worried, my cat happily naps other places, including the couch, the bed, the dining room chairs, his cat tower...

> 3 dayI used this product to prevent my 1 year old from going into the cabinets. I usually buy the older style of locks. However, these came up on my search. I ended up giving them away because they are inconvenient. You have to carefully pinch down on the two pieces and use a second hand to pull. Then, the piece comes off and you have to hold it or put it somewhere that you won’t forget. The older model you can hold a baby and pull down the plastics piece with on hand. The price stays on one of the plastic arms and then you can open the door. I would not recommend this style for those that have a busy household and limited time to get in and out of cabinets.

> 3 dayThese work exceptionally well. At first they were hard to slide off , but as time went on and we slid it on and off more, it’s like it loosened up a bit and is not so hard to unlock and remove anymore. These things are great from keeping my son from opening doors he shouldn’t be.

> 3 dayI that I can take these locks on and off, generally, with one hand. Its important for me to be able to lock cabinets due to the fact I have a toddler who can destroy about anything, including my cabinets. As someone who rents, its important for me to be able to not have broken cabinets in my home. For what it costs, you should go ahead and get these locks and use them. Youll be satisfied with fewer messes and headaches. I cant think of a dislike at this moment because I just started using them but if I do, Ill go ahead and update the review. Best of luck! - Aaron

Greater than one weekSo recently my cat decided that my bathroom cabinet under the sink was the greatest most interesting place to go explore. He even accidentally got himself stuck in there one day and I had no idea he was still in there. Thankfully I noticed after about 5 minutes and got him out but I was not about to let that happen at a time when I wasnt home. So for a great price and I have 3 more should I need to cat proof anything else this is great!

> 3 dayMy only comment is that they are very hard to unlock. I have to use pliers to unlock. I am 68 and need them for a 2year old.

> 3 dayThese work great on cabinet doors and keep the baby out. I used these on multiple types of knobs and they worked great every time.

> 3 dayOnly giving three stars because one of our sets of cabinets had the handles too wide for these to fit on. I was surprised they don’t extend further. They are a little annoying to get on and off constantly and I felt like I was scratching the paint of my cabinets as I would be attempting to unlock. Ended up not using.

> 3 dayI have to admit, we didnt buy this product for children at all... Our cat had started learning how to open cabinets and that just didnt work for us. I bought these cabinet locks so the cat couldnt break into the cabinets we thought were secure. While it is a bit annoying to have to undo these locks every time we want to get in the cabinets, they are better than having to drill holes into the wood to place magnets on all the doors. Of course, the downside is that you need to have two cabinet doors next to each other to use these locks. We have a few doors that dont have mirrored pairs and these locks are useless for them. Bear that in mind when considering these; pets or kids alike.
