> 24 hourWhat a let-down! Im generally a fan of Nancy and her notions, but this one is not very useful. First, its flimsy plastic. I have to keep it out of the fray when Im sewing just to make sure it isnt cracked. Also, the sliding gauge doesnt stay put, despite the little locking plastic piece that is supposed to hold it. If this was all metal Id love it. Theres a hole inside a rotating disc near the top for drawing circles, but the hole is really small. A needle fits, but not a t-pin, which is what you might want to use with a padded work surface. So, good ideas but cheap materials. Again.

> 24 hourIt arrived promptly. This sliding gauge was purchased for a sewing class. It is higher on Nancy Ziemans website, plus shipping & handling so I was pleased to find it on Amazon. It is a useful, but not a tremendously necessary, tool for me, except for following instructions in the sewing class. It seems to be a popular tool and you as a seamstress may find it more to your liking than do I.

> 24 hourI find this Sliding Gauge extremely useful when Im doing various quilting tasks. Making sure the applique is centered or the sashings & boarders are even, and so many more tasks required during the making of a quilt. I would recommend this for anyone doing any type of sewing.

> 24 hourVery handy. Ive had it a while but just started using it when I found out my 4-thread serged stitch was really 3/8 wide. Sure enough that is what it measured. That 1/2 added on 4 seams really does change the fit plus I had added about 1/4 to all the seams to serge off. No wonder the fit was too small. Also, its much easier and smaller to keep handy by the machines rather than a long ruler.

> 24 hourThis is a pretty cool sewing gadget with a lot of different functions. My only complaint is that it is also VERY flimsy. Most sewing gauges are made of metal, but this one is made of pretty thin plastic, and I doubt that it will last very long. Ultimately, I would probably trade the extra features for something that can stand up to more wear and tear.

> 24 hourI use this gauge almost every day in my sewing room. In fact, I loved the first one so much I bought two more--an extra to take with me to my quilting group sewing, and an extra for use at my ironing board. This is a very high quality tool, especially for being made out of plastic. But I should not have been surprised, Nancys Notions products are always top notch. This is a very useful tool, for a number of uses. I use it mostly to measure seam and hem widths so my work is straight, but you can use it for working with buttonholes and buttons and other things as well. I recommend this as a basic tool for anyone wishing to sew...it wont disappoint.

> 24 hourThis is my second one. The first one I used my rotary cutter with--dont do that! I cut part of the flat part off so hence, the second one. It is very handy and locks into place so it doesnt move unless you want it to.

> 24 hourI have had a metal gauge for years and its still my favorite. I do like this gauge but its not so good for measuring one eighth or one quarter inch. The things I like best about it are the broad section at the end and it makes drawing accurate circles easy. However its only plastic and I think it is a bit overpriced.

> 24 hourLove this little gadget, its so handy and much nicer than my old metal one. Features that I love: Easy to mark buttonholes and buttons placement Easy to measure since it locks in place Really neat compass feature for drawing circles Its a T gauge, a hem gauge, a compass, buttonhole spacer, and a seam allowance gauge. I Would definitely recommend this!
