Coliro M600 Artist Mica Watercolor Paint Set – Metallic Watercolor Paints (6-Color Set, 30mm)

These paints are Amazing!! There just what I needed, to add gold touches to my illustrations. Theyre super easy to use, glides on the paper so smoothly with an even coat. The only thing I suggest is applying a light wash of yellow or grey if youre using the silver color. On the places you intended to put matelic paint. It applies easier then painting directly on the paper and I believe it helps the color stand out more.

I love Coliro gold and silver metallic watercolor paints. The rich, metallic pigments range from silver through both warm and cool gold tones with a smooth, creamy consistency that is a delight to paint with and that layers easily. They especially stand out well on darker paper and pop beautifully when contrasting other rich, deep watercolor hues. They also mix well with regular watercolors to create metallic pigments in a wide variety of different colors, making them incredibly versatile. Theyre wonderful when used alongside metallic leaf in the same painting, too. As a side note, to ensure these paints flow as desired, spray them with water or place several drops of water into each well and allow them to sit for several minutes before use. This softens the paint first and improves how well they flow across the paper. I love Coliro metallic watercolors and highly recommend them to other artists and illustrators, as well as hand-letterers looking to add a nice metallic pop to their lettering work. Theyre wonderful!

This is a bit “pricey”….however, I needed it and the rest is history….

There is a more expensive set of the same paints that have better packaging, but the paints themselves are top-notch quality! This particular versions plastic packaging is pretty cheap, which shows in the total price - the lid of my palette came broken on the hinge. However, I really dont mind that since the paint itself is still protected and is of great quality! If you cant afford the extra cash for the fancy palette package, buy this and receive the same quality of wonderful sparkling paints!

I am in love with this brand and metallic paint, the quality is impeccable, the paint is very special, when i received it and realized how wonderful it was i went to the place i stored my paintings and finished a many as i could with a little bit of gold and silver, the results are fantastic. I also did my Christmas cards with them and wrote with them. Very special and good quality, worth it the money for sure. I adore them!

used many times, the colors can also be combined with your other watercolors to give a subtle shimmer. And when used this way the effect can be very subtle.

Im very pleased with these mica watercolors in shades of gold. Beautiful effects on white or black paper. Highly metallic, which is just what I was looking for!

Quiet pricey for this amateur. But this paint is awesome! At first I thought all the golds were too similar, but theyre just right (whatever THAT means, lol). The silver is gorgeous. And if you want more sheer or more dense, play around to see what great results you can get. Im not the greatest painter, but these pictures are a general idea of what you can expect. So pigmented with a great shine. The paint pans are so large its going to last forever! Unless youre covering a whole sheet of paper with it then maybe not. But for smaller details, lettering, script, borders etc youll have plenty of product for awhile.
