Greater than one weekThis is exactly as advertised. The colors are beautiful and load onto my brush well. These will add a little extra shimmer and realistic metallic color to my art. I plan to use for cards. My 8 year old granddaughter plans to add shine to her mermaid paintings. We are both tickled with the paints.

> 3 dayreally pretty paints!! they are a bit harder to work with than typical watercolors, other than that the colors are fun and look good as accents. That being said, you only really need 3 of these colors, the white shimmer, and a warm and cool gold, all the other colors look like watered down versions or mixtures.

> 3 dayI love Coliro gold and silver metallic watercolor paints. The rich, metallic pigments range from silver through both warm and cool gold tones with a smooth, creamy consistency that is a delight to paint with and that layers easily. They especially stand out well on darker paper and pop beautifully when contrasting other rich, deep watercolor hues. They also mix well with regular watercolors to create metallic pigments in a wide variety of different colors, making them incredibly versatile. Theyre wonderful when used alongside metallic leaf in the same painting, too. As a side note, to ensure these paints flow as desired, spray them with water or place several drops of water into each well and allow them to sit for several minutes before use. This softens the paint first and improves how well they flow across the paper. I love Coliro metallic watercolors and highly recommend them to other artists and illustrators, as well as hand-letterers looking to add a nice metallic pop to their lettering work. Theyre wonderful!

> 3 dayThis product was used by an artist I follow on YouTube. They are AWESOME !! Goes on smooth and easy and wonderful to work with! A suggestion she gave - have a separate pallete with the sparkles from your other paints!

> 3 dayFair warning to everyone: I LOVE SPARKLE, SHINE, GLITTER, GLIMMER, and just about anything shiny when it comes detailing things in my art so this review is slightly biased. These paints are awesome for several reasons, not the least of which they offer a great variety of shades of gold and silver. Im also able to mix them with other watercolor paints without them losing their shine but I can also get them to full opacity if I need to. I highly recommend these paints to anyone like me who has 24k taste on a $24 budget! Happy painting everyone!

Greater than one weekFirst off, the shipping was very fast. It shipped the day I ordered it which is great. It was here in two days which is also a plus. The product itself is creamy, opaque, and easy to use. You have to put a few drops of water in the shade of gold youd like to use (and let it sit in there for a minute or two) opposed to just dipping your brush in water and then quickly dipping it in the paint. This product is great for adding accents and extra details to your art. Now, it it worth the money? I feel so. A lot of art supplies arent cheap anyway, but this is worth it. You get 5 shades of gold (variety) and one shade of silver.

Greater than one weekThis paint is quite beautiful, of a good quality, and it can be used for subtle effects or layered to get a more solid, foil-like appearance. It flows nicely on the paper and seems to work well with my other watercolors. So far, Ive used ot to add some discreet gold color to paintings of autumn aspen trees, and also to make a deep gold background for a single aspen leaf. Both came out looking classy. I find it especially attractive on a rougher, more highly textured watercolor paper. People at my gallery like the paintings Ive made using it, and have been asking what I used. I do wish that in place of one of the similar looking gold colors, there were more of a coppery color, instead, just to add some variety to the set. Im looking forward t trying it out on dark colored paper and also mixing with other paints to get certain colors and effects. Once Ive found time to try that, I may come back and add more detail to my thoughts on its uses.

19-11-2024Rewets great, but because it is so granulate-y, add a few drops of water to the pan and let it sit for a few minutes and then you have liquid gold.

19-11-2024If you want a paint that gives off a beautiful shine, this palette is for you! I use these on my commissions at conventions and they bring that little extra something to the pieces. They can get a bit temperamental if you use them in big areas, but as thinner detail they work phenomenally. They also work splendidly to cover over dark inks and colors. I can’t recommend these enough.
