> 3 dayGot this palette to make Christmas cards and they exceeded expectations! There is an array of gold colors which each had their own unique shimmer and base color so that one can find the color which has the desired effects. I was surprised at how easily the colors activated with water, and when using a #3 WC brush the amount of color pigment went just as far as the amount of water in the brush. I was able to produce not only a varied-colored (gold & silver) wreath, I was also able to create a handdrawn gold border on other watercolor cards I had made. Look forward to using this set in the years to come!!!

> 3 dayOMG the colors are beautiful. I use this with calligraphy pens so its kind of annoying cause I have to water it down and then use a paintbrush to apply to the nib but the color looks so nice. Its the nicest gold paint Ive ever used. No if only I can get the new colors on amazon.... if you look at the photo, I wrote Karen in finetec and the address using another brand ink. Finetec just has so much shine and sparkle in it that other paints dont have.

> 3 dayThese paints are not as vibrant as I was hoping for. It doesnt add that shiny definitely gold hue to my paintings that I was looking for. It is more of a shimmer, even with a yellow/orange base underneath. If you put it at an angle youll see the shine peeking through. Theyre very pretty, just not what I was expecting.

> 3 dayIf you want to embellish anything with pure pigment and goldest golds or silver, this set is it. The pans come out which is a bonus. The price is steep for international buyers. Wish they were more reasonable. Hoping to get more in the future. Packing was poor. Luckily they came jostled but intact.

> 3 dayOutstanding workability. Must apply a few drops of water and allow a few minutes so it may absorb “as directed” which allows for super dense buttery pigment. Outstanding addition as a side palette when golds and silver are needed. I also use pure gold leaf in my watercolors. This pallet can be used as is BUT also blends well with fine pigment watercolors. Also, if you want to punch up the intensity of the gold(s) or silver, I’ve applied Daniel Smith “Black” Watercolor Ground, as the base, prior to applying gold and silver. Just allow the watercolor(WC) ground time to dry/cure prior to application! The black WC ground will not incorporate nor bleed into the pearlescent pigments AND punches up the final result! That’s my 2 cents ;)

> 3 dayThese paints are a bit thicker than actual watercolors and dont quite behave like them either. So they are a bit difficult to work with if youre doing wet on wet. But they work amazingly well for wet on dry! The one major downside I found while working with these is that they dont pick up like normal watercolors so if you make a mistake its really noticeable.

> 3 dayIm really in love with these. One of my big concerns was the color coming off if I touched it or anything. And it does not do that even a little bit. They all activate very nicely and work wonderfully to add really pretty touches on my watercolor paintings!
