> 3 dayWorks just like any other watercolor, and once the paint dries, the effect is gorgeous. I find that these tend to work best when applied fairly densely, resulting in a beautiful solid sheen. Its fun tilting the final product in the light to see the sparkle and how the edges of rough brush strokes glimmer in and out of sight. Well worth the price.

> 3 dayI added a photo but its really hard to take a picture of metallic paints. So take my word for it. This is the best metallic paint, period.

> 3 dayThis product was used by an artist I follow on YouTube. They are AWESOME !! Goes on smooth and easy and wonderful to work with! A suggestion she gave - have a separate pallete with the sparkles from your other paints!

> 3 dayOutstanding workability. Must apply a few drops of water and allow a few minutes so it may absorb “as directed” which allows for super dense buttery pigment. Outstanding addition as a side palette when golds and silver are needed. I also use pure gold leaf in my watercolors. This pallet can be used as is BUT also blends well with fine pigment watercolors. Also, if you want to punch up the intensity of the gold(s) or silver, I’ve applied Daniel Smith “Black” Watercolor Ground, as the base, prior to applying gold and silver. Just allow the watercolor(WC) ground time to dry/cure prior to application! The black WC ground will not incorporate nor bleed into the pearlescent pigments AND punches up the final result! That’s my 2 cents ;)

> 3 dayI love these inexpensive metallics. The pigment load far exceeded my expectations! I bought these to travel with as I didn’t want to risk losing my Paul Reubens.

> 3 dayYeah, these are expensive. Yeah, they’re almost 3 times of the price of the Kuretake brand gold 6 Pan watercolors. But if you’re serious about your metallics, these are the best out there and nothing even comes close. I have both these and the Kuretake, and I also have a metallic set by Schmincke, as well as a cheaper company called Mozart. I have also tried making my own metallics with Pearlex powder pigments (NOT worth the trouble). I am an avid painter and I paint every day. I have tried a wide range of metallics as metallic accents are extremely important to my style of painting. And please believe me when I say that nothing, NOTHING on the market compares to these in terms of opacity, creaminess, shine and shade range. This company knows what they’re doing, and they’re doing it perfectly. I am in love with how every painting turns out, accented with these metallics. In fact, I believe they give my paintings a gold-leaf look - something that is otherwise extremely messy/ delicate to achieve. These paints are best used with a small brush for acrylic paints. They can be applied on almost any surface. And the consistency can be well controlled by how much water you add. The issue with the Kuretake paints is that, even though they look similar to finetec on the painting, the paints wear down quickly. Finetec lasts forever. You can feel how densely packed each cake is by how long it takes to activate. In the time it took me to use up an entire rectangular pan of Kuretake, I’ve only barely made a dent in a cake of Finetec. So if you’re someone who uses up your paints, it’s actually more economical to get Finetec. No I’m not sponsored by Finetec , just someone who has looked for the perfect paint for a decade and finally found it. Plus, if you are an instagram artist (follow me btw at butterletters), the Finetec palettes are beautiful to photograph next to your art and calligraphy. I never want to include my awkward rectangular Kuretake palette in my photos. But the round, silky, delicious Finetec paints add something so satisfying to my Instagram photos. So there’s that to consider haha! Anyway, I can’t rave enough about these! Time to go paint some more!

> 3 dayI love Coliro gold and silver metallic watercolor paints. The rich, metallic pigments range from silver through both warm and cool gold tones with a smooth, creamy consistency that is a delight to paint with and that layers easily. They especially stand out well on darker paper and pop beautifully when contrasting other rich, deep watercolor hues. They also mix well with regular watercolors to create metallic pigments in a wide variety of different colors, making them incredibly versatile. Theyre wonderful when used alongside metallic leaf in the same painting, too. As a side note, to ensure these paints flow as desired, spray them with water or place several drops of water into each well and allow them to sit for several minutes before use. This softens the paint first and improves how well they flow across the paper. I love Coliro metallic watercolors and highly recommend them to other artists and illustrators, as well as hand-letterers looking to add a nice metallic pop to their lettering work. Theyre wonderful!

> 3 dayThese paints are Amazing!! There just what I needed, to add gold touches to my illustrations. Theyre super easy to use, glides on the paper so smoothly with an even coat. The only thing I suggest is applying a light wash of yellow or grey if youre using the silver color. On the places you intended to put matelic paint. It applies easier then painting directly on the paper and I believe it helps the color stand out more.

> 3 dayused many times, the colors can also be combined with your other watercolors to give a subtle shimmer. And when used this way the effect can be very subtle.

> 3 dayThese are definiatly different than the ones Ive tried before. Even with a not so opaque application, the metallics do show beautifully to the point where it is hard to look away. Definitly different than the iridescent ones I had bought locally months back and looks like these will last a long time. I wasnt expecting these to be so beautiful and will definitely buy more. You can tell these are a higher quality brand. These are worth the money and you wont be dissatisfied at all. . . There were no complications in the product getting here. Everything was intact and in perfect condition.
