Comgrow Textured/Smooth Double Sided PEI Sheet 235mmx235mm for Creality Ender 3/Ender 3 Pro/Ender 3 V2/Ender 3 S1/Ender 3 S1 Pro/Ender 3 Neo/Ender 3 V2 Neo/Voxelab Aquila 3D Printer

Replaced another aftermarket single sided smooth PEI with this one. Old one tore out a chuck on some TPU. I know these need to be roughed up a bit for bwst adhesion, but that didnt help. Both sides, if I dont glue stick it, NOTHING sticks.

Bought this thinking it would make bed adhesion a breeze, but this made the issues worse. This was the first PEI sheet Ive bought and over the past week I have only had 3 successful prints that were adhered to the bed by pure luck as the second I even touched them, they detached like they hadnt been stuck to the bed but merely balanced. Thought it was my printer at first, but ruled it out as I can consistently print with my stock glass bed. I have spend hours leveling my bed with feeler gauges not able to find a nozzle height that is suitable, messing with temperatures and flow rates and still couldnt find a goldilocks zone which seemed harder to find than the stock bed. I decided to try my friends Creality branded PEI and have not experienced any adhesion issues. I believe I may have received a defective unit, or that one of the many manufacturers this distributor uses (look at review pictures, they are all over the place in what they have in terms of branding or surface texture/tone) Is of lower quality. $18 price point was nice, but I guess I shouldnt have cheaped out.

PEI has proven to be a very useful build plate surface for me. It has great adhesion when heated, and when cooled the prints just pop off with ease....no need for a scraper or use of force. The nice things about this product, is that it is two sided, with a choice of a smooth surface or a textured surface. In my opinion, this is the build plate that should be sent with the Ender 3 S1 Pro machines, as that only has a one-sided texture surface. I will definitely use this product anytime I need to replace my build surface.

I knocked off a star for the install because it tells you to remove the film off of one side. The film is nearly impossible to see, but there IS a thick plastic on it that you *could* remove with enough work. BE CAREFUL removing that very thin film. If you dont see it, do yourself a favor and put some tape on the edge of the film, then peel it up. Otherwise, as much as I love glossy surfaces on my 3d prints, I have to admit, the surface this gives me is quite pleasing, and even removes the lines you can see in every print. Its also the CURE for bad bed adhesion.

A friend recommended I try this because of bad prints from OEM mat & wow was I super impressed! If you want flexibility I would highly recommend you try this mat and toss the black one out !

I was having the worst luck printing PETG on the stock ender 5 flex bed. the PEI bed grabbed on incredibly well. a little too well in fact. I had great difficulty getting a botched first layer test off the bed and ended up damaging the coating

Excellent addition to the ender 3 V2, the glass bed it shipped with last its stick after maybe half a dozen prints, have not had a single issue with bed adhesion since switching to this PEI

The plate works great. I have an ender pro s1 pro and havent had any adhesion problems. The only issue Ive had is just the the tab on the front of the sheet (used for removing the sheet from the printer) is not accessable on my printer due to a handle attached to my build plate. Its a very minor inconvenience.
