I used this kit to upgrade a hotend on an Ender 5 Pro. I received a bad cable but the seller was quick to remedy the problem. Things of note if upgrading an Ender 5 - This is not for the faint of heart. 1. The original carriage assembly must be trimmed and merged with the included carriage. (The ears for the timing belt are located side-side instead of top-bottom) This involves cutting off the ears on the new carraige, trimming the old, and merging the two. The included bolts are long enough to handle the additional thickness. 2. The X-stop needs to be moved further backwards to compensate for the rather extreme offset difference from the original extruder head assembly. I trimmed the OEM bracket and redrilled the hole to accomplish this; there may be options available on the common 3d print repositories to accomplish this without fabrication. 3. The cooling fan and its shroud will hit the front-most aluminum extrusion of the frame. I lowered that piece by about 1 using some 90 degree angle brackets commonly available on Amazon. It prints fine with the piece simply removed, YMMV. 4. Youll need to mix up your own firmware and set offsets if you want to use CRTouch. I set the probe to nozzle offset at -30, -40mm offset, and utilized 3 point leveling with a 30mm buffer on the table and it worked flawlessly first try. You will also need to set extruder motor steps in the firmware as detailed in the documentation provided with the extruder. Settings - As I switched from a bowden to direct drive, settings were obviously different. The first prints I made were excellent, but needed a little fine tuning to prevent over-extrusion zits. The settings Ive found work well to start with (Simplify3D) Retraction Distance - 0.70mm Retraction Speed - 40mm/sec Coasting Distance - 0.40mm Overall Im extremely impressed with this head; the cooling fan works well enough to nearly print sideways without support, and the temperatures at the nozzle are the most stable ive ever seen after a lightning-quick heating time. Very well done, Creality.

I ordered the sprite heating block pro. It looked like the package had been discreetly cut open. It did not come with a heat brake or a nozzle. The heating block is NOT an aluminum alloy (alloy meaning primarily aluminum). Its a much heavier metal or alloy. There also appears to be a black residue on the heating block in spots that can be scratched off with a metal tool. My best guess is that the packaging is legit, but not the contents. Seriously, just go on Creality’s website to get this.

As soon as I received these, I tested the two 0.4 nozzles for size accuracy using a 0.4mm cleaning needle; It was dead on. I didn’t have the correct-size needles to test the other nozzles, but the 0.4 needle felt loose in the 0.6 and 0.8 nozzles. I’ve printed PLA and PETG on my Ender 3 Pro using one of the 0.4 nozzles. It worked well. PETG did seem to stick as badly to these as it does to brass nozzles. I can’t comment on durability yet, but this looks like a good product so far.

Nice upgrade to print at higher Temps. From 260c to 300c Just to let you know that if your thinking to print higher Temps than 300c then look for something else. This caps at 300c Still can print with alot of items but there are more filaments that need higher Temps too. I always though the sprites could print to 300c but guess was wrong on that or this was sold useless but guess they stopped at 260c. I dont think this will require new motherboard but will have to check on that. Memory says some of the other printers have the same setup on motherboard and sprite to get 300c on so maybe install this then upgrade the firmware. For me all my printers have the sprite so when I ready to upgrade I got it. The copper is a good idea to disperse the heat faster too. Hope you consider this when your ready to upgrade too. Good Luck in printing. Experiment only makes you better in printing.

Great selection of nozzles for a good price. I love that the come with new silicone socks since mine always break. Excited to throw the .8mm on a printer for some of my quick prints!

This hotend is amazing. Instantly better tpu prints which is what I bought it for. Direct drive extruder is definitely the way to go! Pros: direct drive Better prints Better cable management Has a plug in at the hotend for touch auto level Cons: Terrible instructions Extra unnecessary plugs Touch is far away and has to be adjusted Auto level sequence does not work as the bolt hits the right carriage, so the programming has to be adjusted. This is definitely the worst issue. This makes it a complete pain in the ass to get the touch to work and as of now it’s still not working on mine. This is why I rated this a 3 instead of a 5

I had to return these. There are several threads online that outline the issues with heat control and material feed. Unfortunately I cannot recommend these.

Although the directions were not very clear, it was not that difficult to install. The wiring was labeled clearly so it was not confusing connecting everything to the main board. The additional bolts that were provided are required if youre using the BL Touch or the CR Touch otherwise, when it goes to level the bed, the extruder will hit the frame on the right side. The main issue I had is that I am using the CR Touch and where they have the mount for this, it brings it too far forward. So when it goes to level the bed, it literally misses the first row. I had to design and print a new mount that will locate the CR Touch more in line with the nozzle so that it would be able to hit all nine spots on the bed when leveling. If anyone needs the CR Touch mount, I will be happy to provide it. With regards to the firmware, I did not have to upgrade the firmware due to the new mount that I designed. Besides, they only provide a link for the 4.2.2 firmware whereas I have the 4.2.7. Once installed, set your E-Steps to 424.9 and then calibrate from there, I actually had to increase my E-Steps to 433.5. Also, be sure to adjust your Z Offset as well if using the CR Touch, it will be different. Im totally happy with this upgrade.

I got these for my Ender 3. They fit perfectly and work great! I love the different sizes that allow me to print faster or in finer detail when needed.
