CR 10 Smart Pro, can confirm it works. TL;DR - Works with CR 10 Smart Pro, takes maybe 20 minutes to change and get printing total. VERY RECOMENDED Had a reading on my screen of -15C (yes, negative), after I had gotten a failure during a print stating there was a thermal issue. Decided it might be the thermistor and found this product. Figured it was worth a go since it was around 30 bucks. I had an issue removing my old one, but thats on me, I broke a screw in the cooling block. After I got that cleared I was installing this guy and have it printing already. If I hadnt messed up it probably would have taken 15 to 20 minutes at most to get it fully installed and calibrated. I wasnt sure if Id want to use that nozzle or not, actually decided Id just use one of mine I have already here because I know and trust them. Very quickly set the z-offset and its already printing. Very easy, just take your time if you arent sure what youre doing.

When you want the best 3D printing results you must go with a bi-metal heat break. It really does make all the difference when printing at high temperature like for ABS, PETG or nylon. It is also really good for the lower temperature filaments like PLA as well to give a much more stable temperature at the nozzle. I have done some test prints and of course the boat, and the results are better than I ever expected. This is a true drop in upgrade with no additional modifications needed. After installing, just need to run though the leveling setup and you are back on track to super smooth prints on all temperature ranges. Highly recommend this upgrade even if you dont plan on printing with ABS or PETG you wont be disappointed at all.

I love the dual geared direct drive. It works much better than the ender 3 stock. The issues I have with it is that it is harder to see how my first layer is going behind that giant angled fan, and that the nozzle that came with it was in way too tight. I had to entirely squish the nozzle in a vice pliers with the block in a vice to get it out, and the nozzle still shredded to dust before it came out. Now that I put it in myself it is fine.

As soon as I received these, I tested the two 0.4 nozzles for size accuracy using a 0.4mm cleaning needle; It was dead on. I didn’t have the correct-size needles to test the other nozzles, but the 0.4 needle felt loose in the 0.6 and 0.8 nozzles. I’ve printed PLA and PETG on my Ender 3 Pro using one of the 0.4 nozzles. It worked well. PETG did seem to stick as badly to these as it does to brass nozzles. I can’t comment on durability yet, but this looks like a good product so far.

The Sprite Extruder Pro kit is a nice one. It comes attractively packaged in a box that holds everything nicely. It has everything you should need to get started right away including a much nicer ribbon cable and new bracket. The hardware installation is pretty easy and everything is already connected on the Extruder except the probe cable (which has a helpful label on it reminding you to, yknow, connect it). The stock nozzle is basic brass but the kit also includes one of the nicer alloy ones which is a nice bonus. Its a bit on the loud side but that isnt a huge deal. For transparency purposes, I must urge caution for Ender 3 users. Creality doesnt provide a firmware for the Sprite + CR/BL touch combination. So if you have any mods at all besides the Sprite, expect to jump through additional hoops (i.e. compile your own firmware). Also, you will have to install shorter screws on the bracket to avoid the hardware bumping into the Z-axis. This is honestly disappointing because theres really no excuse for putting out a product with such a blatant error. However, the fix (2 M5-25mm screws, and 1 nut) is less than $5 at your local hardware store. This problem likely doesnt exist for other printers but you should definitely do your research and dont blindly trust that this will work as a drop in replacement for all the printers listed. That being said, the Sprite Extruder is a great hot end replacement and even if it might be a hassle, pretty much all the other alternatives are MORE expensive and MORE hassle. Although support from Creality was lacking, Yoopai Direct was very helpful and reached out to me to understand my frustrations and made the situation right. They won my business and will definitely be my first choice for more additions/mods to my printer.

This hotend is amazing. Instantly better tpu prints which is what I bought it for. Direct drive extruder is definitely the way to go! Pros: direct drive Better prints Better cable management Has a plug in at the hotend for touch auto level Cons: Terrible instructions Extra unnecessary plugs Touch is far away and has to be adjusted Auto level sequence does not work as the bolt hits the right carriage, so the programming has to be adjusted. This is definitely the worst issue. This makes it a complete pain in the ass to get the touch to work and as of now it’s still not working on mine. This is why I rated this a 3 instead of a 5

This is a requisite upgrade if you are looking to use high-temp filaments such as PETG or ABS. I also think this is a nice upgrade, in general, if you are looking to improve heat transfer between the block and heating element (e.g., higher/faster nozzle temps). Materials and construction appear robust, and I have no question that this a genuine Creality part. It also comes from a reputable Creality reseller. This is relatively plug and play, making it perfect as a replacement part or upgrade!
