> 3 dayFor my main desktop been waiting for a drive that made sense with a ~300GB Boot drive...This is the best deal from a reliable company for anything much bigger than 500GB...Mushkin 1TB is the only other option but that is kinda slow...MX300 is a winner. Hint make regular backups, (Paragon have a free version backup app available that will even move an OS drive to different hardware). Super drive got multiple sizes (275GB for the laptop)

> 3 dayEven though I did not get to try these specific 525gb drives out I own plenty of them in various sizes. Well, My rating is not because of the lack of performance on the drive but its lack of compatibility of utility software on other operating systems other than Windows... Cmon Crucial.. Extremely Disappointed in the blatant disregard of supporting a huge customer base of your product. Not only do I use these on my Linux based servers but in my MacBook Pro. So the responses I have received back regarding the unimportance of the software which if true stop advertising it so boldly on your packaging e.g. Storage Executive which increases drive to blazing speeds!!! Supported Operating Systems • Windows 7 (32-bit, 64-bit) • Windows 8 (32-bit, 64-bit) • Windows 8.1 (32-bit, 64-bit) Yet oddly enough there is no mention on the packaging of this limitation? Or the fact it does not support Raid. Why? Is it not important? I know I would like to have the utilities to tweak my optimal performance also especially thats why I purchased them for my raid db servers and MacBook Pro.. and no I do not wish to go spend my time to R&D other solutions supported by major customer base Operating Systems. I could understand if I was trying to get this to work on some absurd setup. Wake up or hopefully the consumers will and stop buying deceptive marketed drives. I am not allowed to post the link to the PDF but it can be found...

> 3 dayGreat SSD for the price. I used it to replace an old laptop hard drive. The laptop runs faster then ever. I did have to get a 3 party cloning software because the one that came included did not work for me.

> 3 dayI cannot believe I didnt upgrade to one of these sooner. I had a problem with the migration software. It did good but the system would crash suddenly or just freeze. I did a fresh OS install on the drive and no problems. I have an older system from 2010 and it is now faster than it ever was. Before I did the upgrade it might take my system 3 minutes to boot. After the upgrade and before the fresh install the system booted in under 30 seconds!! Now with the fresh install it is similar boot time 20-30 seconds!! It loads Adobe Photoshop Elements in 2-3 seconds!! My system is extremely fast again.

Greater than one weekI got this on sale for $100, and for that price this is an absolute steal, and honestly I would have been willing to pay more for it. Speed isnt blazing, but its slotted in between TLC SSDs and MLC SSDs and can often be had for TLC SSD price. This is especially great for my itx build, where I dont have the luxury of space to fit spinning platter drives but still want a decent amount of storage. Hasnt stopped working after a couple months, so no immediate reliability issues are present.

> 3 dayGot this drive to upgrade an Asus laptop that I recently purchased. I was migrating from an older Asus Laptop and I had also purchased a USB to SATA cable to image the drive. I found out that you cannot image the drive through a USB and have it bootable. Both machines were running Windows 10. I used Macrium Reflect free for doing a backup of my old drive to another external hard drive over USB. I then created a USB boot drive using the utility in Macrium Reflect (boot and recovery/restore tools)...set the BIOS in my new laptop to boot from the USB drive...installed the Crucial drive in my new laptop...booted using the USB drive...and then restored the three partitions from the backup (separate USB drive) to the new Crucial drive. I then used the utility to fix the boot sector (1st partition) then shut down the computer. I then crossed my fingers and rebooted...it booted normally and discovered the new hardware and installed the correct drivers. I found that you must have the SSD drive hooked up to a SATA interface and do a restore instead of cloning the old drive directly (I had tried this first without success). I hope this helps anyone looking to upgrade their laptop.

> 3 dayI replaced my late 2011 MacBook Pros failing hard drive with this one. My laptop got a new life as performance is amazing. Very happy with the purchase. I chose to install fresh OS on new drive and copied files from old drive using external case.

Greater than one weekI bought this for only $99 around Thanksgiving weekend. I used it in a desktop system to replace a 240GB Intel 520-series that was about 80% full. I dont notice any difference in performance, but I know theres not much difference between SATA SSDs unless you buy a DRAM-less model, and those can be much slower. Ive had good experiences with the MX100, BX100, and MX200 SSDs from Crucial and I dont expect this will be any different.

> 3 dayPut this in my PS4 and couldnt be happier. The drive is fast and I havent had any problems with it so far. Games load much much much faster and there is a huge difference in system performance verses the drive the PS4 came with. Why doesnt PlayStation just ship their consoles with drives like this already in place? Very happy with the performance, and wouldnt hesitate at purchasing the drive again. Glad I did.
