Item as described. Good performance. I did face an issue when using the cloning software that came with the product. In between the cloning process it became unresponsive so I had to power off the PC and do a fresh install. I dont mind this as I could easily get all the data back from my old drive. However always backup your data before attempting to do clone option and if you dont mind installing applications again, it will be best to start fresh with a clean install.

Ahh...the perfect upgrade for my Mid 2012 Macbook Pro 13 - El Capitan boots up super quickly and the overall experience is much snappier!! With this drive and 8-16 gb of RAM your MBP should be quickly zipping around like mine! I feel as if Ill get another 2-3 years out of my MBP 13 with this upgrade!

I replaced my late 2011 MacBook Pros failing hard drive with this one. My laptop got a new life as performance is amazing. Very happy with the purchase. I chose to install fresh OS on new drive and copied files from old drive using external case.

Was excited when I saw the package in my mailbox. With this excitement I go and power down my computer thinking of how my other driver will have some much needed storage support. Go ahead and plug in the cables, dust off its bay, close the case and power this sucker up. I then go and open my disk manager and discover that it doesnt appear there :V. Thinking that I messed something up decide to change cables to another driver that I have plugged in and no go. Seems that I got the lemon of the bunch. Leaving a 2-star review because I have faith that there is still hope for this SSD in my life. Will update when I get the new one.

Worked flawlessly out of the box. I purchased this to replace a failing disk drive in a Lenovo Y500 laptop. Worked like a charm, no issues. Your mileage may vary, make sure your laptop or whatever actually supports 6GB/s SATA; I purchased a very similar Crucial MX-part SSD for an older HP laptop, that did NOT work because that particular laptops controller was too old. Boot times are fantastic. I did not use the included acronis software link, I instead use the free MACRIUM REFLECT software I already had on my prime PC to do the disk image backup and restore to the SSD.

5/5 for the product, 0/5 for the data migration software, 2/5 for crutial software, so overall 3/5. The product itself is great, decent quality at reasonable price. But the data migration software comes with it is a piece of sh*t. So I had an old 240GB SSD with only ~20GB space available. So I bought this new SSD and wanted to migrate data from my old drive into this new one. I used the migration software (Acronis) to migrated my data and use all default settings. The migration was smooth however after rebooting I only found theres a 240GB partition in my new 750GB drive, the rest 500GB was not allocated! The only reason I buy a larger drive is to have more space, and the migration software failed to allocate more space to the main partition! I tried again to see if I was able to adjust the partition size during the migration, nope. I either had to create another ~500GB partition with the 240GB partition almost full or figure out a way to merge those 2 partitions. (Trust me its not easy cuz they are not adjacent partitions) Finally I found some workaround to merge the unused 500GB to main partition and get a ~690GB partition. Took me half a day to do so and Im pretty frustrated. If only the migration software could do its job it would be so much easier. It looks like clonezilla is able to clone a smaller drive to a larger drive without such problem, but use with caution, I did not verify this. Also the Crucial Storage Executive said I had 0MB of DRAM so I cannot turn on Momentum Cache, which is the most important feature imo... its another WTF moment Im just done for the day.

Would have been 5 stars if the instructions had mentioned to download the Storage Executive Client software to manage the drive. At first the drive would cause Windows 10 to lock-up randomly. Turns out that enabling the Momentum Cache in the Storage Executive client solved the problem for me. I stumbled across this purely by accident, while researching the problem on the internet. Otherwise, its been a great SSD, especially so, considering the price.

This was BIG DEAL!! Just less than $100. (in 2016 Late) It is in my PS4 Original. Loading is short than HDD. And, it’s not have problem.

Works great in my new build. Since I am no speed freak, it worked out fine for me. It is bigger than a 500 GB but less than 1 TB. Unless you need that extra speed of a Samsung EVO 500 GB, an extra twenty bucks can normally get you this. I do own two Samsung EVO 850 500 GB and I am very happy with them. But since I am not a serious gamer anymore or doing scientific/CAD calculations, this is a great drive for the price. I like both brands. If you are looking for the top of the line, then you will need to spend on a Samsung Pro version. Based on my usage, this drive should last me 10+ years without much problems.

I bought this on sale, and for the price it was a great purchase. I have been using Crucial SSD in my other computers in my house, and Im very happy with them. No failure so far after more than a year of use. Each drive comes with a copy of Acronis, which makes transferring from my own drive to the new one a breeze. I do recommend this drive.
