Greater than one weekThis is the second Dakota alert alarm we have purchased. The first one lasted approximately 10 years. Love this Brand. We use it as a drive way alarm on our farm. Lets us know when someone is hear before they pull up to the door. The signal has to pass through a couple of buildings, and works perfect. It detects the motion VERY well. You can control the volume to very loud to off. Installation was a breeze. We attached it to a wooden pole and tested it. It worked just as well if not better than our older Dakota. I would strongly suggest this Dakota Alert alarm.

> 3 dayMy driveway is 1000 ft to my house. The 1/2 mile distance handles my not clear view and down hill very well. would recommend the DCMA-4000 to all looking for motion detected notification.

Greater than one weekI just ordered 2 more transmitters today, i put one up 2 yrs ago and it has worked flawlessly, its about 600ft away. Im hoping i can get the 2nd one to work at our gate thats about 1500 ft away and the 3rd gate about 700. I changed the battery 1 time Im sure its ready for a new one .I havent had any false alarms that I know of unless its windy and I didnt mow higher gas near detection. i have called the company a few times and rate the experience excellent.

> 3 dayWe live out in the boonies with a long driveway. We dont like surprise visits, like the cops that recently showed up in body armor with guns drawn that came to the wrong address. So that prompted this purchase, which we are well-pleased with. We have it set to a pleasant-sounding, ding dong, ding dong. It always works on cars and not deer, which is a plus. Installation took about half an hour and was quite easy. I set it about 10 off the ground in a tree to help it get through the serious amount of trees and brush between it and our home. It worked first try. Added bonus: the kids hear the bell and rush outside to greet Daddy.
