I am exceedingly cruel to my clothing, generally destroying a pair of pants in six months or so. I wear slip on boots and work outside, so I have maximum wear on my socks. I wore through the other brand of wooly socks in a matter of four or five wearings, so they didnt seem so smart to me. The flock of Christmas socks would be literally threadbare by the end of January, with a see-through patch in the bottom in the shape of my foot. My wifes socks would be pristine for years. In any case, here come the Darn Tough socks, and about two years in, I am finally getting holes. That suggests a factor of around 24 greater durability over the other brand. Comfort is the same, they are warm and well-cushioned, with the dry, pleasant qualities of wool. Zero itch at all for me, and 100% wool socks generally make me itch. This is an order of magnitude more durable than the competing brands, so I dont plan on buying anything else.

Bought a pair a year ago for my husband who wears them with saftey boots. After wearing them alot, even during our hot summers. They are still in great condition and he said they still provide great cushion and told me to order some more.
