Darn Tough Vermont Hiker 1/4 Socks Cushion

These socks were great on a recent 6 day backpack trip. Got soaking wet during a thunder storm in the Sierras, but being a wool blend, kept my feet warm and dried out quickly the next day while wearing them. Despite being wet, they held their shape and didnt break down at all. After being washed, the look just like new. Cant go wrong with these socks.

I work 12 hour shifts and bought boot socks (spur boot) from Darn Tough on the recommendation from a coworker. Mostly for the LIFETIME warranty they offer. Turns out that everyone on my crew wear Darn Tough and for good reason, they are comfortable, natural fiber(mostly some models have polyester), and they are tough. I used to keep 12 pair packs of socks on standby and just throw away anything that had a hole in it. When my drawer was low I would open a new pack. I was opening a new pack every 6 weeks. Ive only worn these socks and other models for 3 months now, not a single one has worn thin, lost its elasticity, or felt stretched/worn. Im never wearing another brand ever again. I even went as far as giving everyone a pair or two for Christmas. It feels like a pyramid scheme where you tell everyone how awesome they are like a sales pitch. Big down side is they are not cheap and you will be angry that you get excited about socks resulting in replacing all the socks you own.

Great hiking socks for summer hikes

5 yrs ago I bought my first pairs of running socks from them & they were incredible in fit/tightness & very foot conforming. When I replaced them after 2 yrs they had changed manufacturing location (added a new 2nd shop) & they were poor fitting & not nearly as foot conforming as previous pairs & I returned them. Figured Id try one more time & the fit is even worse! I wear size 10 running shoes & ordered size Medium socks, shoe size 8-9.5 according to their chart & still have loose material bunched up at the last 3 toes on outside of foot! NEVER AGAIN!

Just disappointed I did not get the cir ordered. Not worth the environment to return them. I have 3 pair now 4 pair of all dark blue. If I wanted another dark blue I would have ordered it. Another reason to go direct to the store who makes them. Second and third hand Sellars usally come up short in quality and guarantees.

Cozy comfy and sturdy.

I was constantly buying my husband socks as he would wear holes in the toe or heal of the socks. I bought his first pair of Darn Tough socks over two years ago. I have yet to see a thin spot let alone a hole anywhere in the socks. He likes the 1/4 socks for summer and the regular ones for winter.

These socks are very expensive. However, they seem to hold up well in work boots throughout the work day. The downside is Im afraid to dry them in the dryer. So far, I hang them up to dry. Theyve lasted a month now. So, overall, theyre worth it since I probably wont need to buy more very soon.

These are the most expensive socks Ive ever bought. So far my feet are loving them, and they seem like they will last. Time will tell.
