Darn Tough Vermont Hiker 1/4 Socks Cushion

This is my daily wear sock and really the only thing I wear with the exception of some other low cut socks for specific shoes. So I buy the black and wear them to walk, hike and with my office pants to work. At the office they are tall enough, unless are wearing “high water” pants no one will even notice you are wearing ankle socks. They are not hot and are breathable. I love them when I travel because the wool content and quality prevent odors so I can pack fewer socks and alternate them over days. As for quality, i have never had to consider their warranty because I have had zero issues with the few pairs I own for a few years now. I did loose one a few months back but that happens with socks.

I was very hesitant to purchase these socks at first, however after two weeks of use, best socks I ever bought hands down! I thought they would make my feet sweat, but my assumption was incorrect. They are made out of wool, so it takes a few uses and washes before the itchiness subsides, however after that, they are by far the most comfortable socks I have ever worn. I even used them to put on a new roof, and it was over 120 degrees on top; my feet felt amazing, and never smelt bad once. I have also used them on a few hikes at Yosemite National Park, no blisters, and my feet did not hurt one bit either. I originally bought two pair, but recently bought two pair of hikers crew and next week plan on purchasing three more pair. Yes they are expensive, but that life time warranty is definitely worth the money

Ive worn Darn Tough socks for years. Tried other brands. These are the best.

Just used them for my first 3 mile hike in Merrill Moab 2 hikers. Felt very good. Great protection for my feet and kept them nice and dry. temps hit 80 today.

The best socks period

After receiving a pair of these socks for Christmas I have purchased 12 more pair and they are all I wear. They make my feet feel so good. They fit as described and wash up great. Definitely recommend for anyone that is the least bit active.

I work 12 hour shifts and bought boot socks (spur boot) from Darn Tough on the recommendation from a coworker. Mostly for the LIFETIME warranty they offer. Turns out that everyone on my crew wear Darn Tough and for good reason, they are comfortable, natural fiber(mostly some models have polyester), and they are tough. I used to keep 12 pair packs of socks on standby and just throw away anything that had a hole in it. When my drawer was low I would open a new pack. I was opening a new pack every 6 weeks. Ive only worn these socks and other models for 3 months now, not a single one has worn thin, lost its elasticity, or felt stretched/worn. Im never wearing another brand ever again. I even went as far as giving everyone a pair or two for Christmas. It feels like a pyramid scheme where you tell everyone how awesome they are like a sales pitch. Big down side is they are not cheap and you will be angry that you get excited about socks resulting in replacing all the socks you own.

First, make sure you are wearing the correct size shoes. I have used these on all day backpacking trips, the most recent being in steep up and down terrain trails, with my trail runners and these socks extremely wet most of the trek from numerous water crossings. Not once did I ever come even close to developing a blister nor a “hot spot”. I have some older ones that I wear in and outside of my homes like house shoes, and they show very little wear and tear.
