> 3 dayThe unboxing was super awesome, you can tell that a lot of care has gone into this product, every step had friendly guides and help if needed. The software is really nice to use. Coming from Scansnap s1300, I tried to just avoid that software and scan straight to PDF, but I really like the Doxie concept of an inbox, and being able to regroup (staple/unstaple) paper together after it is scanned. Also pleasantly surprised by the ability to tweak cropping, contrast, and a few other settings after scan. It changes my workflow from scanning one logical document at a time to just scanning a pile of paper and then grouping the way I want after the fact. So far qualify and OCR has been good for what I expect, and speed is much better than my old Scansnap. Happy to have this product!

> 3 daySolid little document scanner! Especially appreciate the auto duplex scanning and 20 sheet capacity. My biggest hurdle to staying paperless has simply been keeping up with the constant stream of incoming paper from businesses that still insist on using paper/mail in 2022. The scanning speed was a bit faster than I expected. Software is easy to use. My only negative is that it isnt wireless so it has to live with/next to a computer. At any rate I love this thing and its a fraction of the cost of the big guys scanners.

03-12-2024This is a heavier, less portable Doxie sibling. Double-sided scanning, 300 or 600 dpi in color or monochrome, it is larger than I expected. Earlier models offered onboard storage and computer-free scanning. Really, though, I am not scanning on the road and don’t need wifi scanning, so having a desktop model, that needs wall power, is OK with me. Software can export to PDF with OCR, can adjust exposure parameters and control scan parameters. I had problems with an older Doxie, when I was outside the US. I replaced it with an Epson scanner that was available locally. This had major issues maintaining a USB connection and ugly software [like windows not scaling to the available screen size] [full disclosure: I bought this Doxie in pre-sale, for a reduced price]
