Works perfect for when I need to put simple earbuds into my computer.

If youre using this its likely for a scenario where you dont need the most perfect audio quality. Good, now that weve level set expectations, it does what it needs to do. I plugged it into my Windows 11 laptop dock, other end into the headphones, and it auto-detected and worked. I noticed a hiss and after testing, it was present within a few different audio cables but was always most pronounced when using this adapter. Thats fine because the hiss subsided when audio started to play, even if the audio itself was muted. Not sure why that happened, but it did. 5 stars because it does what it says it would and didnt try to grow legs and run away.

I wasnt sure how well this adapter would actually work, and Im never confident on the construction of an inexpensive electronic, but I was pleasantly shocked on both counts. The audio seems to have perfect fidelity and suffers no discernible delay, and the fit and materials of the item are perfect for their purpose. The only note is that it tends to increase the audio volume, so youll just have to set that somewhat lower when using it. Thats not even an issue, just something to be aware of.

We got a new HP all-in-one computer. The sound was very tinny and we wanted to use our old amplified desktop speakers that we traditionally plugged into the headphone jack. Well microsoft must think that these dont exist anymore because there is no option for 3.5 mm plug in speakers and no way to add them. We shouldnt have to buy new speakers when the ones we have still work perfectly. They only register as headphones when plugged into the headphone jack. It must have some sort of glitch because every time we paused or started a video the volume started at zero and took about 10 seconds to ramp up...super annoying. It is almost as if it was a nanny state hearing protection mode so your ears dont get blasted, but there was no settings to adjust this. We figured it wouldnt hurt to try this adapter through the USB port. It worked beautifully first time, just plug an play. Instant sound with glitch now! For once something that just works the way it should. Thanks!

The company was great about responding and replacing the part, but there was a weird hum that would come from the mic portion when using the listen to this device feature in windows to listen to the mic it was always putting off a signal. I just decided that the product would not work for me even though the service was great.

I was told via email that this wouldn’t work with my TV and sound box..and that it should be returned. Yet it works and serves its purpose. I don’t know why I was told to return it..can you explain it?
