I think this is one of the best keyboards available right now in this form factor, you wont regret picking this up!

Let me preface this with a few things. I originally bought an Anne Pro 2 which comes to find out later doesnt work well with a PS4. It just turned itself off about once or twice, every single game. So, returned that to buy this after a bit more research. This keyboard is absolutely perfect. Got mine with Cherry browns and use it to play Warzone on PS4. Highly recommend.

Couldnt be happier, got the box red in the white variant body and this thing is just awesome. I have many different boards and switch types this thing blows them all away with its lighting and especially software. The key caps are a little different feeling than your standard double shot pbt but still have a really nice feeling to them. And i love this software since you can get it to mimic anything on a full sized board with ease. Have had a ducky one two mini and hands down the Venus is better whether it comes to lighting or switch selection and in most cases it even seems the price is cheaper which to me is nuts with how awesome this board is.

Just the best quality of a stock board you can get. Ive had many different keyboards (ducky,razer,corsair,logitech).. and I like durgod better then all of them. I highly recommend this board.

I just dont have the time or patience for full custom keyboards. This one gets the job done with panache, with its aluminum body and bevy of switch options. The Kaihl Box Jade switches are BEEFY and clicky. Way more force needed compared to Cherry MX Blues. But the sound is more pleasing to me with the Kaihl. The quality of construction is great. Its well-built, solid, and the customization software isnt total garbage. It is a little pricey, but then so is the Ducky Mecha Mini. And this thing is much more readily available. I have a Ducky One 2 TKL, and the build quality of the Durgod is probably better (chassis doesnt flex like the Ducky plastic chassis does). If this were $110-$120, it would be a home run. But I see its already gone up $10 in price since I bought it six weeks ago :/ 10-month update: Ive had zero issues with this little tank of a keyboard. Ive not had any issues with the customization software, and have had no issues with freezing or repeating characters on my unit. The switches are just as they were the day I received it, and the board/case has no issues with flex or creaking. Im really happy with my unit, and just purchased another (this time with the Cherry MX Silent Red switches to contrast from the Kaihl Box Jades).

I own allot of keyboards from the Ducky Mecha, Drop Alt High Profile, Logitech G915 Lightspeed Wireless which is are all awesome keyboard. But I find the DROP ALT HIGH PROFILE to be a HUGE money pit and got rid of it and this keyboard replaced it. The problem with the Drop Alt was they basically lure in with a $200 price range but then increase it to $270 then you add up all of the KEYCAPS, and other upgrades I was over $400 into a starters kit. And the problem with the DUCKY MECHA is hard to find keycaps. I am using the G915 as my daily driver and it is flawless. But for my second setup I wanted a keyboard to have a nice outer solid feel, with great parts and no need to do modding to make it better. Well this is the KEYBOARD for you because I purchased the Cherry MX SILENT RED and I love them smooth as butter and super quiet. I do not feel any rattling keys like on the DROP ALT. This is a VERY WELL MADE keyboard. And you can find replaceable keycaps on this model as well with no problems and ordered a HyperX Double Shot PBT Keycaps should go nicely with my new PC build.

This review is for the Durgod Venus with Kailh Box Red switches Written on 2/22/2020 Pros: - Solid Aluminum Construction - Factory Lubricated Stabilizers - PBT Double Shot Keycaps - Extremely Powerful (Optional) Software, more on this in my thoughts - Sound dampening foam - Solid RGB Lighting - Tap Arrow key functionality - Includes USB A -> C, and C ->C cables - Includes nice wire key cap puller Cons: - No elevation adjustment Thoughts: Guys..... You dont even know. It actually baffles me how this brand isnt the most sought after thing on the internet. Im losing my mind at how good it feels. Every key stroke is so buttery smooth with only the switch making any noise whatsoever. The aluminum construction is rock solid. Absolutely no flexing, or squishyness to be found here. These switches on this board, are the best things I have ever felt also. They are smooth unlike any other switch Ive tried. I usually go for browns of some sort, but I really wanted to try these since I was considering building a custom keyboard with another type of linear switch. The quality of this thing is just something else. The ONLY better option would be to custom build, and even then its going to be the same quality, except you can say that you built it yourself. It really doesnt get much better than this. The lubricated stabilizers on all of the modifier keys make the keys almost non-existent. If youve never felt a lubed spacebar, youre in for something special. The software is amazing as well. Its not like other software youve used before. Its a compiler software, which means that you actually build your own firmware. This is really nice because, if you wanted, you could install it, customize every single key, on every single FN layer (FN1, FN2, FN1+FN2) to do whatever you want, then uninstall it and the keyboard will always have your customization. The tap arrow functionality is an extremely nice feature for a 60% keyboard. You know that the size of a 60% is wonderful, but you have to sacrifice your arrow keys. Not here. When you turn on the tap function (FN1+Capslock), your right shift, ctrl, fn1, and fn2 become your arrow keys. If you tap them for less than 200ms, they seamlessly act as arrow keys. If you hold them longer than that, they function as their regular selves. Look, if youre on the fence about giving one of these a try, just do it, you really wont regret it. You WILL NOT find anything better at this price point. Durgod have managed to manufacture an enthusiast grade keyboard, at an affordable price. Forget Ducky, and any other big name you can think of like Logitech, or Razer. This is head and shoulders above those. As usual, if anything changes, like something breaks or stops working as intended, Ill create a timestamped edit and adjust my ratings.

Got the white PBT board with Gat Yellow switches. The RGB really pops with the white version. Gateron Yellows are super smooth, and make Cherry Reds seem scratchy. The springs on the linear Gat Yellows are perfectly weighted. The stabilizers on this board are lubed and smoother than pretty much any prebuilt out there, including Ducky. If you want Gateron or Kailh switches, this board is a no-brainer since Ducky doesnt currently offer those options. If you want Cherrys, the choice is harder - between this and the Ducky Mecha Mini. (No issues with keyboard freezing, so maybe HK Gaming included the newer cables with this batch?) Just to add - I have 3 Durgods (2 Venus and a Hades). None of them have had any issue with freezing as a few reviewers have claimed. According to Durgod, the issue could be with the original cables in certain environments (Im assuming lack of proper shielding on the old cables). Contact HK Gaming for replacement cables if youre having issues. Again, Ive had zero problems with any of the three keyboards. Ok, got a 3rd board (lol) with Kailh Box Red switches, and wow. The Gat Yellows used to be my favorite but the Box Reds are just as smooth while being a tad faster for gaming (total travel 3.6mm vs 4.0). They also have zero key wobble due to the box design. And theyre not too fast or light to be unusable for typing (like Speed switches). Just a great all-round key switch.

Straight outta the box and this little mech is amazing. I’ve tried Gateron silent browns and silent reds and it sounds amazing. There is slight ping on some keys but I am sure it’s an easy fix. Stabs are nice and lubed which is a PLUS.

Out of the box, the keyboard was good, I had to lube the Gat Yellow switches with Krytox to make it sound less scratchy. However, now the backspace does not work! Its been barely a few days since I purchased the unit. JAN 2022 Apart from Backspace not working, the keyboard glitches with switch freezing, and completely glitching after a while of use in Adobe Photoshop. I find myself constantly replugging the expensive custom USB C cable. The screws are absolute dog crap and Ive already stripped 2 of them because they came overtightened from factory. I bought this after watching several reviews notably of Bad Seed Tech. I will not recommend this to anyone. I wanted this to be my final keyboard after bad experience with 2 Razer products. But seems like even the Glorious GMMK Pro is not worth my money.
