> 24 hourwriting a review using this keyboard and came from a full layout of corsair strafe silent reds and ooh boy it is like night and day. still having a lot of typos as this is my first 60%. first is the stabilizer is so good and pre lubed just like any other reviewers said, no rattle and not making noise like any other gamerish keyboards. the spacebar is standard, keycaps are pbt and will not shine at all. it feels premium this thing here is built like a tank it is made of aluminum i mean i can incapacitate anyone with this keyboard. i was a bit skeptic at first and it took me months to decide that if i gonna get one, i even studied how to build a keyboard and in the end i settled with this. there were many choices but what i want in a 60% is the build quality and the Durgod convinced me. ducky mecha is also a good choice but when i heard that spring ping in the case in some reviews it made me pick the venus over ducky. i highly recommend this one

> 24 hourThis review is for the Durgod Venus with Kailh Box Red switches Written on 2/22/2020 Pros: - Solid Aluminum Construction - Factory Lubricated Stabilizers - PBT Double Shot Keycaps - Extremely Powerful (Optional) Software, more on this in my thoughts - Sound dampening foam - Solid RGB Lighting - Tap Arrow key functionality - Includes USB A -> C, and C ->C cables - Includes nice wire key cap puller Cons: - No elevation adjustment Thoughts: Guys..... You dont even know. It actually baffles me how this brand isnt the most sought after thing on the internet. Im losing my mind at how good it feels. Every key stroke is so buttery smooth with only the switch making any noise whatsoever. The aluminum construction is rock solid. Absolutely no flexing, or squishyness to be found here. These switches on this board, are the best things I have ever felt also. They are smooth unlike any other switch Ive tried. I usually go for browns of some sort, but I really wanted to try these since I was considering building a custom keyboard with another type of linear switch. The quality of this thing is just something else. The ONLY better option would be to custom build, and even then its going to be the same quality, except you can say that you built it yourself. It really doesnt get much better than this. The lubricated stabilizers on all of the modifier keys make the keys almost non-existent. If youve never felt a lubed spacebar, youre in for something special. The software is amazing as well. Its not like other software youve used before. Its a compiler software, which means that you actually build your own firmware. This is really nice because, if you wanted, you could install it, customize every single key, on every single FN layer (FN1, FN2, FN1+FN2) to do whatever you want, then uninstall it and the keyboard will always have your customization. The tap arrow functionality is an extremely nice feature for a 60% keyboard. You know that the size of a 60% is wonderful, but you have to sacrifice your arrow keys. Not here. When you turn on the tap function (FN1+Capslock), your right shift, ctrl, fn1, and fn2 become your arrow keys. If you tap them for less than 200ms, they seamlessly act as arrow keys. If you hold them longer than that, they function as their regular selves. Look, if youre on the fence about giving one of these a try, just do it, you really wont regret it. You WILL NOT find anything better at this price point. Durgod have managed to manufacture an enthusiast grade keyboard, at an affordable price. Forget Ducky, and any other big name you can think of like Logitech, or Razer. This is head and shoulders above those. As usual, if anything changes, like something breaks or stops working as intended, Ill create a timestamped edit and adjust my ratings.

> 24 hourOrdered Cherry silent red version of it. After reading about keyboard freezing issues I still decided to order because I thought they were isolated incidents. But nope. Mine started to freeze the first day. Only way to fix it was to unplug the cable and plug it back in. Thank goodness its USB-C. While the keyboard itself was nice and aluminum casing felt premium. Key caps and overall build quality was a bit flimsy. Keyboard sounded hollow. Typing feel was great but there was some noise issues. For $140, this keyboard does not offer anything special in value. I can get so much more for cheaper with other brands like leopold.

> 24 hourOwned this keyboard for a week now, and I am thoroughly impressed. Got mine white and with silent gateron browns and they sound insanely good. And the keyboard is heavy duty, the factory lube and dampening foam make it sound beautiful. Have not had the “freezing” issue what so ever, 10/10 would recommend

> 24 hourThis keyboard will freeze randomly on one key. I love this keyboard but now I have to return it. I thought I might be lucky and bought this keyboard knowing people had issues with random freezing hoping it wouldnt happen to me. I was not lucky and the freezing issues are real and you should avoid this product until it is fixed. It started freezing after about two weeks.

> 24 hourThe board is excellent, but I really want to highlight the software. Multiple profiles/layers can be configured and then flashed to the onboard memory so you dont need to always have third party software running, which is the most frustrating thing about many modern peripherals (looking at you Razer). The onboard memory is great for use with multiple PCs or at work. You can also assign individual RGB settings which helps if you are remapping a layer for macros and want to color code them.

> 24 hourIve owned this board for around five months now. I love almost everything about it, but theres one issue that I cant seem to fix thats hampered my experience with it. Occasionally the board will completely freeze up. Most notably while Im gaming , itll freeze and be stuck on the W key. The only things that temporarily fixes it is unplugging it and plugging it back in, or switching profiles. A real shame, this would be five stars without this issue.

> 24 hourThis thing is amazing. Great keycaps, great switches, and a great build. Unfortunate that it freezes randomly. Heard the Hades doesnt have that issue so Ill try it out. Hope they can nail that issue down and update whats shipped.

> 24 hourIt was great for the first month, then one day the keyboard shut off and did not respond with the software. Software is so bad and confusing too. If you are intrested in buying this keyboard go durgods discord, all you see is complaints and how the product is bad. Dont recommend you buy one.
