> 3 dayMetal gas cans are a must for some applications, especially when you are storing fuel for long periods and need to retain its full potential with no fumes. These are tough and far more durable than cheaper plastic containers. No one likes the new government mandated pour spout contraptions on modern gas cans - they are unwieldy at best, and last no more than a year or so in my experience. This product is very well made, and with the built in funnel, is well suited to filling my ATV, lawn mower and tractor with no spilling. Well worth the money and will surely last for many years with care.

> 3 dayBoth cans dented, although shipping boxes not damaged. Paint [writing] on cans is smeared, cannot read. My advise is do not purchase.

> 3 dayThe can is very sturdy and seals absolutely. Its also much easier to use than the cheaper plastic cans due to the design of the included pouring spout.

> 3 dayI’ve been using these my entire life and will continue to do so. Much easier to use than the newer plastic can with the safety spout

> 3 dayThese cans are pricey if you dont buy them on sale but still worth the money. Theyre much safer than plastic cans -- yes Ive had a plastic can melt while in storage, fortunately it was empty. My older Eagle cans dont have the nifty pour spout but the dimensions are the same. As for the older metal handle being replaced by the newer plastic handle, the new handle is very sturdy and is more comfortable to use than the older metal handle. I consider them equal for now. In another 15 years the first cans with the metal handles will be 30 years old and you can ask me again when we get there! I now have five Eagle gas cans and a couple diesel (yellow) cans. I hate to throw things out but those stupid EPA spouts on the plastic cans spill more fuel than anything Ive ever used. I expect Ill try cleaning the plastic cans up and use them to hold kitty litter for spills.

> 3 dayI really like these Eagle safety cans. I have one gasoline (red) and two diesel (yellow) cans. My only real complaint is the spout / funnel system. Especially when Im trying to get a can into my moderately-lifted Duramax, it can be quite a chore, and very difficult to not get some splashing from the ventless nature of these cans. Even so, its worth it as these cans sustain a full 400-mile trip to my hunt camp without so much as a single spill and no fume build-up in the bed of my truck (I have a camper shell on too).
