> 3 dayI bought this five gallon gas can because my previous 1 gallon can was not nearly sufficient to use on my gas generator when the power went out recently on the East Coast. This size can completely fill my generator so that it will run the entire day (12 hours) without needing a refill. When its hard to get to gas stations, the last thing you want to do is to go back several times to fill the gas can. Sturdy, not too heavy (except when filled with gas), good safety features, and best of all it comes with a funnel you can attach or detach as needed. Thats key, as my previous can didnt have a funnel, and more gas spilled than made it into the generator and lawn mower. Quick delivery as well.

> 3 dayBox was damaged, but can itself was in very good condition. Safety handle work well. Will the funnel on it is a little difficult to fill my Cub Cadet riding mower, but I think thats more of an issue with the mowers design. Filling a push mower is very easy.

Greater than one weekI prefer to use the Eagle brand gas cans for my gasoline. These cans are well-built and are made in the USA. The Eagle Type I 5 gallon can follows the new emissions laws but does not sacrifice functionality. The steel is very nice and will be durable over a long period of time. I am happy with the quality of the tank overall. Many people are complaining about the plastic handle that is used to pull back the spring loaded, sealed cap. I do not have any complaints because I think the plastic is heavy and should withstand the test of time. It is not a cheaply made plastic component. The design of the tank it interesting with the plastic funnel as the spout. It took some adjustment when using the spout to pour into my lawn mower and my smaller tanks to mix gasoline for 2-cycle engines. In order to fill the gas can you are also required to remove the yellow funnel. Eagle built a metal screen into the tank opening to prevent debris from contaminating the gasoline. I think this is a nice feature and it still allows the nozzle of the gas pump to fit down into the tank for filling. I do not see any quality defects in design or workmanship with this gas can so I gave a 5 star review. I personally use this can to keep fuel for my lawn mower and gas trimmer (which is poured into a different gas can for 2-cycle oil and gas mix). WARNING: with the new style of gas cans, vapor pressure can easily build up inside of the can. Before filling equipment be sure to pull on the handle to open the tank and release pressure. If you do not do this then gas will spray out of the can!
