23-11-2024We have always used plastic gas cans in our family. My dad always used them when I was younger. When I bought my first house, my first gas container was plastic. The ones that Im used to didnt have the new CARB compliant spouts, which are just awful. Its hard to use them without getting gas all over the place. Recently, I was in the market for a new gas can and after doing some research, I realized that metal is far superior to plastic when it comes to storing, safety, etc. Previously, I had never really thought about it. I saw a few different metal cans for sale on Amazon. The other one I was considering was a little more expensive. I finally settled on this one only because of the price. Im really happy with my purchase so far. Filling it up at the gas station was easy. Just pull back the plastic handle and insert the nozzle. It sits well in the back of my Jeep also. The plastic gas cans would slide around during transit, this one sat in the same spot the whole time. Some of the reviews here complain about the handle being plastic but I dont see an issue with it at the moment. The funnel attaches very well also. It takes some wiggling to get it into place and remove it but Id rather do that than have it slip on and off easily All in all, Im very happy with this purchase. I cant think of any negatives to say about it. Plus, its made in the USA. Buy with confidence, you wont be disappointed!

> 3 dayThey have taken one of the best gas cans and made it almost unusable. First, it is extremely difficult to fill it because you can barely open the fill cap to put gas in the can because of the plastic handle and the extra strong spring. Second, the funnel that comes with it is not easy to put on the can and you end up spilling gas trying and then you have to take the funnel off to fill the can and end up spilling more gas, this makes it unsafe to use. The only good thing about this can is the sturdiness and they have made it the safest gas can on the market because the average person wont be able to fill it at the gas station.

> 3 dayVery sturdy and built well. I can rest assured that that it will last a VERY long time. Plastic gas cans in backyard shed have a very short life. this can worked great...make sure you get the funnel too. it makes it SUPER easy to pour with NO leaks.

> 3 dayI bought this to replace a 30+ year old Eagle gas can with the old-style small-diameter flexible spout. Even after replacing my spout, the old can still leaked a bit of fuel while pouring, and I really had to replace it. I was afraid I might not like this new type of can, but it actually works very well. I use it to fill my push mower, riding mower and pressure washer.

> 3 dayI purchased 2 for what seemed like a reasonable price. After several months I noticed one is weeping fuel from the bottom seam. Of course this is after the return window. I don’t recommend unless you like a 50:50 chance of getting a good one.
