Greater than one weekNice gas can. Sure beats the cheap plastic ones. No crazy safety valve either. Works great.

> 3 dayFIRST -- MAKE SURE you open the can to ventilate it, before your pour!!!! I LOVE this can. The cap really works and seals well. So well that, on a warmer day, if you go to pour the gas before you ventilate the can, it sprays all over the place. (MAKER - PLEASE ADD WARNING ON TOP OF CAN! I HAS TO THROW AWAY SHOES THAT WERE RUINED!!! THANK GOD IT DIDNT GO IN MY EYES!) Matter of fact - send me another can free since I had to toss my shoes please. :}

> 3 dayWhat can I say? I am so tired of plastic junk fuel containers with the leaky spouts. Not to mention the new were saving you life style that the spout has to be depressed some how to start pouring. Who thought it would be a good idea to have to hold a 5 gallon 40 lb. plus plastic container upside down and some how catch/depress the spout to get fuel to flow. Who asked for that? Anyway It was so nice to find this excellent metal gas can made and designed by Eagle. It has an easily reached spring loaded handle that opens the spout for flow when pulled and then positively shuts when released. What a novel concept. This model also comes with removable spout/funnel for precise filling. I got the 2- 1/2 gallon one to try but now will certainly replacing all my broken plastic junk ones with the Eagle UI-25-FS containers. I would, depending on your needs get a 2-1/2 gallon one for when your tractor runs out of fuel usually as far from the house as possible and some fives for storage for generators etc...
