Buyer Beware: This unit is advertised as water resistant and is represented as a solar tracker actuator. It is not even remotely water resistent if installed with the ram up. there are no seals on the ram end, and mine filled with water and had corrosion (limit switch) failure in a month, even though mostly sheltered. Indoor use would likely be fine. Look for an IP65 unit (or better) for outdoor use. Still in discussion with seller, but I doubt Ill get a replacement. IP65 unit:

Shipping was prompt, packaging was secure. Only found two minor issues: there was no wiring diagram. and the polarity for extending the actuator is opposite what one would expect; and the mounting pins are not the same size, so there is a specific pin for the drive end, ans a pin for the other end (but not visibly different). Both items are inconveniences, only. I have not tested it under full load. The specification for duty cycle says 25%, but doesnt indicate a cycle duration or temperature limit for the drive motor.

Built a lifting window seat cabinet with 2 actuators. They work great. They are a little louder than I expected and run slow (takes about 1.5 minutes to fully open/close), but they work great.

overall length. The operation length is stated but the length of the tube can change your mounting needs. The16 inch was useless for my needs as with brackets the tube was 22 inches itself. Thas needed useful information.

After receiving the actuator and placing in my installation, I ran the actuator and with a load of approximately 200 pounds in line with the shaft, once the power was removed the actuator would back-drive (the load would fall). Installation was in a push type manner, which the unit was advertised for. As this was inconsistent with the products listing, I contacted the seller, whom initially had a prompt response which was appreciated, and that they are awaiting a response from the manufacturer. Well, after 11 days of waiting, I cant wait any longer to hear an excuse of why it doesnt work as advertised. Had to send it back and replace it with a different unit.

only use the actuator 4-5 time during the last 3 months and the gears are just spinning inside without moving piston. Contacted the seller with no response. they advertised that they would contact you in one day but has been over 30 days. beyond timeline for return. Do not buy.

Ive only used this for a few days, so I cant vouch for its service life, but it works and does what its advertised to do.

Its good but definitely slower than advertised. is more like 3 mm seconds not 5.6 mm a second

I bought this to install in my manual height adjustable desk - to convert it to an electric height adjustable desk. It works well for this application. If it is a little slow, thats fine as it is very powerful. It has no problem lifting a 65 X 30 solid wood desk top plus two monitors plus all the crap I currently have on my desk. The reason for the 5 star review and I usually dont leave reviews, but there was an issue with the first model I received. I contacted the company and they sent me a replacement immediately. Replacement works perfectly. I would absolutely buy from this company again if I have the need.
