Elgato Stream Deck MK.2 – Studio Controller, 15 macro keys, trigger actions in apps and software like OBS, Twitch, ​YouTube and more, works with Mac and PC

Perfect easy to use

I did not get this for gaming. Im a video editor. For my use case, I have programed at least 6 nearly full pages of keys for editing in DaVinci Resolve. I have over 130 different keys between those pages. Some of them are duplicated between pages for keys I need access to all the time. I use my stream deck all the time, every day. Even for other functions of my computer I have keys set up to run different actions: change audio settings, run multi-action macros, open specific folders, monitor disk space left, etc. The possibilities for this are endless. I also have programmed keys to work in OBS. The integration with OBS is really great as you can free up hotkeys to run even more functions. In the past, I have programmed the full set of keys to replicate an actual production video switcher (something like the BlackMagic Design ATEM 1 M/E). There are lots of really great plugins to add to the stream deck. This is even easier than before thanks to a recent update from Elgato where they added a store to install plugins from. There is so much you can do with this. From an editing standpoint, this has been a HUGE help to me and has greatly increased the amount of things I can do and it takes less time to edit simple things now. 32 keys is a lot, more than I would say most probably need. For me and editing, I would totally recommend it. I recommend plotting out what keys you need to see what size fits you best before you buy.

This is one of the best purchases for streaming i have made. The quality of the build is great! the only thing I hope improves over time is the compatibility with other programs through their Elgato software. Beside that, this product is truly an essential for any streamer.

Amazing

Obviously works really well for streaming, but its awesome for doing other things like MACROS, OPENING WEBSITES, OPENING PROGRAMS, MEDIA CONTROLS (VOLUME. NEXT TRACK, MUTE,), and more. Also, you can put gifs as icons. A big plus for me .-. It would be cool of the housing was made of metal, but its just plastic... still lovin it.

at first when you get it you will use it a lot but if you aren’t a streamer and you just play games like me you will barely use it.

Where has this been all my life? The difference this makes to my workflow is phenomenal..

Cool and neat product I use it for more than just streaming

Like many others whove purchased this before me, I think this is the best thing for streamers since the capture card. It has so many functions and things that it can do, it blew me away. I wont get into the technical details, because there are plenty of other reviews that can explain it far better and youve probably read them by now. I like everything about this device so the easy review is to list a few things that could be better:

Love this deck. I use it mainly for hotkeys for work and it takes alot of typing out of my day through hotkeys and scripts. Also works great if you are doing any type of webcasting/recording/etc. Custom buttons and Icons are great. Integration with other applications as well is a plus. Might go for the bigger one later.
