Elgato Stream Deck MK.2 – Studio Controller, 15 macro keys, trigger actions in apps and software like OBS, Twitch, ​YouTube and more, works with Mac and PC

The product looks great. But the software download is the issue. I keep getting the elgato stream deck setup wizard ended prematurely. Ive tried fixing it. Ive done research and noticed this has been going on for about 4 years now to a couple customers. If anyone has the solution please let me know.

Figured Id try this out. So I went for the mini, on sale. But, I must admit, its functions are robust & amazing. I wish I really had gotten the 15 Button version. I still will probably get it. Very good product!!

I myself am a cinematographer and editor (Blah blah blah cameras and movies and stuff) and I purchased this Stream Deck (XL) to improve my productivity while I do my editing. This beats any Macro keyboard or custom keybind kind of thing you could get out there. You can label the LCD buttons with text in the program, as well as put a background image (You can upload your own, or there is an open plugin hub where you can get other peoples custom stuff) to each key. The keyboard usually links to most of my software and I can use the macro buttons, but if it doesnt, I can set it to press a custom keybind (it also has Function keys as an option all the way from F1 - F24) to do specific tasks like saving a file.

Love this thing. Easy to set up and useful for more than just streaming. being able to customize the buttons is also fun if you are artistically inclined. I did have an issue where putting the unit to sleep only dimmed the screen instead of turning it off, but this was fixed with a firmware upgrade.

I have not used this for gaming or needed tech support, so no rating. I am using this box as a glorified X-Keys. I have programmed mostly text and hotkey strings and it does a fine job. I like the feel of the buttons, and the fact that I can put custom text on each button. Also the text can be positioned and sized on the buttons. I have not put any custom graphics on the buttons, but it claims it is possible, so one day I will try it.
