Over the years the dummies guides have given safe, sound and scholarly advice on everything from learning languages to flirting - literally the sublime and the ridiculous. For the main part though these cleverly put together training manuals have been written by experts in their given fields in a simple, constructive and progressive style.

The seller was great, the software I did not like the soft ware is not what I was looking for.

Great and easy to follow. My husband is using to learn to play guitar and hes learning so much quicker than I expected.

This is a little hard to follow, but still very useful.

So far, Im impressed by the quality of this software. The only qualification to this is that it is like traditional musical instruction - that is, it starts with the most granular building blocks and works its way upward. For many students, especially younger ones, this might be a bit too slow. Theres always a desire to try and jump right into more advanced techniques. The only other thing to mention is that to really use stuff like the built-in tuner, you need some method to get the input into your PC. I took the simple route of just plugging the guitar into the amp, then running the headphone jack on the amp to the line-in on the PC. Honestly, Im not quite sure what I would have done if I were using an acoustic guitar. The times I just tried to use the PCs built-in microphone, it picked up far too much environmental noise to be of any use. Still, I like this software a lot and unhesitantly recommend it for a complete guitar beginner like me.

As a guitarist of 16 years who learnt before the event of fancy media and the internet, these products hold a certain fascination for me!

I bought this for my husband for christmas. He is a very hands on and visual learner so I loved the idea of the videos; however this was more like a glorified book on the computer... the videos and the audio refused to work... I intend to return this and find somthing else that works... Very disapointed...

its very good for beginners , i learnt such a great deal in a very short period

Good for the Price, Not crazy about the program it is more so for absolute beginners I probably should have bought the advanced guitar CD instead!
